Going through a couple of trending posts on the Hive chain and I smiled when I realized that none of my articles have done quite as well this year. It is a bit contrasting to last year when I managed to feature twice. This is irrelevant, but significant in a way because this year has been my best in terms of growth on Hive and crypto in general. What has been the secret then? Consistency.

I don't think I have missed a day of blogging since the beginning of the year. This is saying something, as I made a commitment to it around mid last year. That meant even during low inspiration or energy days (like today), I had to come up with something worthwhile and blog. The benefits of pushing through difficult times are well documented am sure, but it is always a thrill to see things happen so up close and personal.

The beauty about being ready in the cryptoverse is that it puts us in a state of perpetual readiness. If you are focused on growth through the bears you will inevitably benefit during the bulls. Fortune may favor the brave, but I think that it tends to favor the ready and willing above all else.

An Opportunity for Growth

With regards to Hive, I think first and foremost is gratitude to the platform giving an avenue to grow and improve our asset base in any given circumstance. It is difficult to get bored and leave the space when you are an active member of whatever community you belong. Hive certainly makes it a lot easier to relate from a community perspective.

Despite the bear market and watching my assets drop in value since the beginning of the year, I have continued to grow nonetheless. Many fail to take note of the underlying benefits that small, incremental growth brings and only look at surface value. I think beyond positioning myself for the next, inevitable rebound, I have also witnessed growth in the beyond the Hive chain previously unprecedented.

Hive tends to impact our real lives in ways we may not take note of. For instance, I have replicated this consistency in a few other areas (fitness, finance and relationships), and have seen results. I haven't had to do much either, just merely made a conscious decision to work on these areas everyday no matter how little. Psychologically too, knowing I have some form of assets at my disposal (no matter how little) gives me that fair bit of confidence each day.

Small, incremental steps as a growth strategy will never be bad advice. If I make the trending page for instance, but am absent for extended periods then I doubt I'd see much growth both within and outside Hive. Those who have tried this strategy from day one are reaping the benefits now, and perhaps I will share a similar story in the not so distant future.

Conclusion

One can never control the actions of others but we can take steps that puts us in a decent position. Consistency is yet to fail anyone I know.
