Hive: Thank you Koreans?

pug801826_640.jpg

We saw a nice pump to almost $0.70 for Hive yesterday which is a move in the opposite direction compared to the bearish nature of the markets over last couple of months.

A large reason for the pump has been attributed to the Koreans who seem to find Hive an attractive project and pump it periodically. Whole this is statistically true, I wonder if that's all there is to it. I mean that is the cause but certainly the underlying reasons are somewhat different.

A good way to highlight my point is to take a look at Hive's counterpart Steem which has not enjoyed the same level of attention despite being a lot older. It is because investors likely do not find it as attractive an investment and would rather avoid it altogether. What makes an investment attractive then?

For Hive it has been activity and impact. While the numbers aren't as much as we'd like, Hive has certainly been a beehive of activity and has not relented since inception. The community is engaging and the developers continue to make significant upgrades to the project which inspires investor confidence for those following.

The active community also has a lot of users willing to hold their tokens, as well as buy the dip should it fall below a certain level. That is a true test of belief in the project and Hive has so far passed with flying colors. Speaking of the community, there are various sub communities that are each capable of pulling their own weight in the long run.

Surely we're doing something right is all am trying to say. Am also not making too much of market movements as most of the investments might be purely speculative. However, you don't speculate on a project you believe has no potential. Hive reached an ATH $3 from this said speculation and who knows the limits we can get as we realize our full potential.

Of course we all wish investors will become active community members and grow but that isn't necessary, is it? Isn't that the beauty of Hive? That we can all invest through various means from blogging, gaming, liquidity pools and whatnot. We certainly have a variety of options on the table so even speculative investors play a role as of now until we reach our final destination.

It did make me wonder what their real purpose was when pumping the price. Perhaps there is more to it. And true what you said, Hive is buzzing despite the bear market and developments are happening. The future of Hive is bright.

Yes, shows that people see the potential of Hive and the height it could reach and the possibilities of many more opportunities that it could provide in the long run

With the price action we saw, our destination is close and I believe we are going to make it to an all time high in the next bull circle. Hive is a proper investment and the world is yet hear it raw!!

It always makes me wonder if we should hire someone (possibly Korean) to do some market research to understand the Korean activity and possibly recruit for active users)

Unlikely to happen so for now I guess we enjoy the volume and the occasional pump they provide!

It really is worth looking into. One can imagine just how well we'd fair at the next bull if the interest remains.

A good idea, althugh I wonder if the bad blood of the Steem fork is gone now?
Perhaps since they pumped Hive :)

Unfortunately they're doing this as a pump and dump scheme. Price is already fallen to $0.55.

I like the pumping even if it leads to dumping. As long as we all personally know our buy and sell numbers, we can play along and keep growing.

Plus the pump brings attention (as does the dump) so its basically free advertising.

True, if we play our trades right we can buy the dump and end up with more Hive thanks to the pumpers and dumpers. So it's all good.

I agree with you. Hive is so much more than "just a crypto."

I am looking forward to that one post that shows me that "the Koreans" pumped HIVE. I know in the past, when we have these types of pumps there is always that someone who knows which exchange is being purchased from the most, or where the HIVE is going or which accounts are getting bigger.

It doesn't make a large difference at the end of the day, but I do like seeing those reports.

I earn here by blogging, playing (rising star, splinterlands, and even some weed based game that I don't understand but have a delegation to anyway), staking in different projects, and providing liquidity.

I love it here. I look forward to being able to rent my RC.

Ha HA Ha
Yes Thank you who ever is responsible for the pump!
I heard Hive was in the top 100 on CoinMarketCap that day?

I would love to have a screen shot so I could post it on Twitter.
