SPEAKING IN TONGUES

Okay so, this really an intriguing topic of discuss, and I'm pretty glad, it's something we have to talk about.

First of all Christianity in most part of the world is interpreted differently according to their culture, they're numerous religion in the world, what actually made ours to be thjs profound is the mystery behind the birth, death and the resurrection of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Jesus speaking to the disciples in John 14:16 said I'll will pray the father and he will send you another comforter, he will be with you always, now these comforter is the Holy Spirit that will dwell with a man who have come into terms with him, at the point of accepting Salvation declaring the lordship of Jesus Christ and all he did on the cross of Calvery, making him his lord and personal lord and saviour, the Bible says at that point old things have passed away behold all things are new.

I listened carefully paying attention to details as Bro Eli navigate these teachings with fact and scriptures

So all these began on the day of Pentecost when jesus instructed them ( the disciples) to stay at the upper room untill they're endued with the Holy Spirit which was the comforter Jesus had earlier promised them, when the day was fully come the Bible says they're were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they began to speak in other tongues

Bro Eli in his teachings and also accordingly to the Bible some outside observes heard them speaking their own tongue and so they marveled at it,

That was the first time speaking in tongue was recorded.... Of Course the men were surprised, I believe that's why Bro Eli had to reemphasise on the fact that tongues are some tongue other than your own tongue or dialect

I began by saying that Christianity in some countries are misinterpreted indifferent ways depending on their culture, IN Africa were most of the people here are not that enlighten, most pastors abused all of these in form of prophesies, just as Bro Eli would say if it's not a tongue that some other can interpret then it's not speaking in tongue

For instance I had to look up the scripture in 1Corinthians 14 : 27-29

We believers most understand that both speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues are gift of the holyspirit and not just vain saying as some proffers to be doing in most modern churches

Bro Eli descripes it as invented expressions..... Sounds funny tho but true..
