PRIORITIES: Different Shades Of Perspective
I have a friend, a very very close friend of mine we met in uni during our fresmen year 2Level , i would say its one of those circumstantial kind of friendship somehow it feels like fate brought us together and we have been helpful to each other in different instance, however i get to discover that we don't have or share anything in common, its more or less of we posses different ideology to life, these friend of mine who literally is like a brother represent everything i dislike, my opposite, but then again we have lived together, shared apartment and almost everything except
PRIORITIES
Because of my background and some challenges i encountered while in school i have to use my tongue to count my teeth, that's me been cautious and very careful about everything i do, because i really do not have who to turn to, if in need, so i have to keep my head up and work my plans out, i have learned to understand people based on who they are and to relate with them based on who they are, their character and behaviours, which really got me thinking that i would loved to do #Psychology as a second degree if the chance permit, people are different in every way, no matter how related or twin they all have their own uniqueness, we all are born different and i've come to respect that as choice each person have made to choose a particular path of life.
I read in @josediccus post, how people will prefer to fall victim to the algorithm employed by web2 social media to feed their desires, spending precious hours, data, watching video and reels just for entertainment, leisure, pleasure of self, quality time spent just scrolling through these feeds as if one will find anything better than the other, true to what he says the system automatically understood what interest you, so the algorithm keeps shuffling them to your screen so you keep scrolling and scrolling for hours, its like a spell to keep you glued to your screen, that's exactly the kind of life my friend lives, meanwhile i detest that too well, because of the heavy data, these platform consumes per video or reels watched, not just that, these platform are milking so much money from these videos played and also the content creators who create these videos are also making it big time from creating content that appeals to a particular audiences they know what you want to see, so they go all in for it, at the end of the day they go home richer than before, i understand all these but my friend is a total outsider about all these, not in anyway a content creator, not on hive not on web2 despite all of the big opportunities available on the internet he's totally not interested, does nothing online or offline for christ sake in this 21st century who isn't on the net trying to earn one way or another.
Of course no body is a fool, who is considered a fool is from the eyes of the wise, but to the fool he's also wise in his own eyes, i'm not saying my friend is a fool, i'm just sayng in is own wisedom he knows what he's doing, and he sure has his ways which i respect, but just saying to my own standard he's been unwise, not to hoping on the trend.
CONCLUSION
People have different perspective, different shades of life, ideology and everything, all of these things form their priorities, knowingly or unknowingly these priorities preoccupy their mind and it determines how they act, behave and live, so is my friend and many of us out there, whats your priorities, how are they positioning you for the nextphase of your life, shaping you into who you ought to become.
