My first earning as a salary worker was a blessing

It is certainly not new in life that there are stages where responsibilities will step in that requires you to engage on it by working towards it in other to solve issues that may occur, which is important in adding value to life whereas in some point it definitely feels good when there is something to hope for to settle such situations at hand.

I believe to be successful in life requires taking steps that will enable such mission to be achieved when working towards it by engaging on something doing no matter how little it may be it will definitely yield something good someday.

I will really like to share my experience of how my first salary was a blessing to me and how I got the job as well. I came from a very poor background where we manage things to survive no matter how little it may be, it's definitely appreciated by everyone. My mum was a factory worker in an Indian company here in Nigeria where they produce packaging resources of any type and the salary she receives is 15,000 naira approximately around $30 which is what we do manage for a whole month because my dad was late and it wasn't easy for us to sustain such amount for a month.

I just graduated from secondary school and because we don't have much the idea of going to the university wasn't planned but I have always which i would someday.

How I got a job as a salary earner

My mum always go for lunch around 12pm during working hours which was their normal lunch hour and in that process I do bring food for her before 12pm where I would wait outside the gate till she comes out to collect the food.

So this particular day, I did the same as always to wait for her till she comes out to collect her food and there was people outside the gate that was looking for job in the company where they might employ them if chosen to work. They gathered where I was sitting and I wasn't having any intention to work because I believe they may not pick me to work which was why I didn't bother to make attempt.

An Indian man came out of the gate and told someone that we were all looking for work and that they needed ten guys to work and to my greatest surprise I was the first they picked followed by other nine guys which was like a miracle or would I say a miracle because I wasn't expecting it.

I almost lost the job because I wasn't with any credentials but the way I approach them of how I needed the job and what I can deliver really made them gave me that chance of working and it really pave way for me.

My mum was surprised when she saw me with some other people and thought may be something has gone wrong until she realized I was picked to work. The blessings didn't end there because I was made an assistant operator immediately in the printing press because I was eager to learn and work and the salary they paid me was 40,000 thousand naira which also come with overtime that round everything up to 54,000 thousand naira around $120.

I was very grateful and didn't let the company down with my efforts and hardwork.

How I spent my first salary

I was able to pay debt of food stuffs my mum do collect whenever her salary got finished in other for she and her children to see something to eat and then hoping to pay back when she collect another salary.

Paying that debt brought joy to the house and since then there have been changes. I also begin to save up in other to sponsor myself to school which I believe that action I took never failed me and it was a success. I made sure we had the best of meal to eat when I was paid my first salary which we've definitely not had for a long time and seeing this happen I bless that miracle that happen that day to see such happy moment occur again.
