Walking Around the Churchyard
I quite enjoy walking around churchyards and looking at the really old gravestones reading the names and imagining their history and who they were.
As a child, I was told to be respectful and not walk across where people have been buried.
I still don't. For some reason, the gravestones at the All Saints church were all embedded in the ground.
I like the old wooden doors and iron latches of churches. They have so much character and look even better in black and white.
Some people might think graveyards are a sad place, but I find them quite interesting, peaceful, full of history ..... and dead bodies. 😮
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
