A Walk Around Carsington Water (Reservoir)
We made a return visit to Carsington Water (Reservoir) today.
We set off across the dam wall. It didn't feel two minutes since I last walked across the dam with snow on the ground. How time flies!
We walked past the valve house that pumps water in from the River Derwent. The water in the reservoir is nearly at full capacity.
I've never been to Carsington Water and seen that many sailing boats about. The sun was out so there was lots of activity on the reservoir today.
They have sailing competitions here for youngsters and adults. They also have Carsington's Sailability which enables disabled people to try sailing alongside non-disabled people.
I'm not a fan of windfarms that are on the horizon. I think they look ugly things with no character.
The Canada geese were in competition with the sailing boats I think.
It's always a lovely walk around the reservoir with lots of places to stop and look at the great views across the water.

Thank you @pinmapple.
love that snap of the geese racing the dinghy lol, Wind farms are a blight on the countryside, just like acres of stupid solar panels.
Thank you. I don’t mind the odd solar panel but fields full of the buggers aren't attractive.
