A Rainy Morning at Bournemouth Beach

Another wet day at Bournemouth Beach. My holiday in Bournemouth hasn't been great weather wise, but I don't let the weather dictate my enjoyment.

Other people were braving the elements (or were as silly as us).

The waves were quite rough so we just sat in the car feeding the gulls!

In 2009, Bournemouth Borough Council placed ten goats on the cliffside so they would keep the vegetation down. It has been a success story so more goats are being brought in.

A tractor was cleaning up the litter that people had left on the beach. The tractors have a rake that sifts the rubbish out from the sand.

They also have litter pickers that pick rubbish up by hand. A lot of work goes into keeping the beaches clean. If only people would put their litter in the many bins that are provided, or just take it home. It's not too difficult!
