A Murky Mooch with the Pooch on Ashover Rock

We had another storm during the night, so this morning's walk was a little wet and murky.

We decided to drive a short way to Ashover Rock. The gritstone rock sits 299m above sea level so on a good day the views are great. Unfortunately, not today.

The good thing about coming up here in bad weather is that nobody (and their dogs) are out. Some people are fair weather walkers but I love mornings like this. With nobody about, it enabled me to let the pooch off the lead so he could get rid of some energy.

Misty mornings show up all of the spider's webs and how intricate they are with different designs.

The yellow gorse added a little bit of colour on a drab morning.

There's fresh water at home but obviously dirty water from a puddle tastes so much better!

After throwing the ball a few times for the pooch we headed back home before the rain came.

Very nice atmosphere! Reminding me of Scotland. You could go for nice walks in nature everyday! Love the misty morning! No people around! So good!

I'm lucky as I only live a few miles from the countryside.

He'd stay out walking forever I think. I will definitely be a lot fitter by the time he goes back to his owner.
