A Countryside Bimble
Driving out in the countryside we had some lovely clouds. It was quite warm today, but some dark clouds were looming.
The clouds passed over so we missed the rain. It turned out to be quite a warm day.
I spotted another field full of the much maligned dandelion. In 2019, the charity Plantlife urged people not to mow their lawns for the month of May for various reasons, one being to let the wildflowers feed the bees, butterflies and other pollinators throughout the summer months.Source I'm hoping the farmer doesn't plough the field just yet.
Travelling back home, I spotted some lovely bluebells in our local wood. I could smell their scent as soon as I got out of the car.
It's a shame you cannot walk in this particular wood as it's private. It's also quite overgrown so it would be too difficult anyway. I just had to be content in walking around the outskirts. At least the bluebells won't get trampled on.
Magnificent scenery!
