What are the types of gold?
Gold is known as a soft metal with a distinctive and shiny yellow color, and it is chemically symbolized by the symbol Au. It is one of the few elements in nature and is found among alluvial deposits and veins. Gold is extracted from among these deposits, and the global extraction rate of gold is about 1,500 tons. In one year gold is extracted by purifying it from the minerals mixed with it by the process of oxidizing other metals and separating them from molten gold , and the proportion of gold in nature is about 0.004 grams per ton in nature, which makes it one of the rare and precious elements.

Types of gold by color
Gold is classified according to its colors as follows:

1.Yellow gold:
It is the result of mixing pure gold with silver and copper, and the higher the percentage of pure gold in the mixture, the richer the yellow color.

  1. Red gold:
results from mixing pure gold with copper , and the higher the content of pure gold in the mixture, the less visible the red color.
  2. Rose gold:
results from the addition of a little silver to the mixture of red gold.
  3. Green gold:
It is a mixture of gold and silver with small additions of other metals.
  4. White gold:
White gold results from adding a mixture of white metals, specifically the platinum family, such as silver and palladium, to pure gold.
  5. Black gold:
results from the oxidation of some metals on the surface of gold, such as oxidized silver, and this layer erodes over time because the metal is not mixed with gold.
  6. Blue and purple gold:
results from the addition of some metals to gold, and these types are brittle and not durable, and completely change the shape of gold.
