En un momento todo puede estar muy bien y solo instantes después podemos estar afrontando aguas turbulentas que azotan nuestra barca, tal y como pasó en aquellos tiempos cuando Jesús estaba con los discípulos en el medio del mar.

En ese momento las olas se levantaron y alcanzaron estaturas extraordinarias; es normal sentir el pánico y el terror, me parece, cualquiera estando en esa posición tendría miedo y olvidaría la palabra “fe”. Pero ¿fe en qué o quién? A la verdad, los discípulos recordaron que no estaban solos y acudieron al Maestro pidiendo auxilio y socorro. ¿Qué hacía el Maestro mientras todos cundíamos en pánico? Él dormía, como quien tiene la potestad sobre las aguas y el viento.

Entonces cuando despertó, le dijo a los discípulos palabras como: ¿Por qué tienen ustedes tan poca fe? Y entonces reprendió al mar y a los vientos, como quien tiene potestad sobre los vientos y los océanos. Ante esta maravilla los discípulos dijeron, como si aún no creyeran que llevaban tiempo caminando con un ser tan poderoso: ¿quién es este, que hasta el viento y el mar le obedecen?

Así parece, podemos estar caminando con el ser más poderoso, el omnipotente Dios, y aun así sorprendernos, maravillarnos con sus proezas. En esta vida hay situaciones que ciertamente nos roban la paz y la calma; pero en esos momentos Él no deja de ser Dios; no enmudece ni se aparte de los que son fieles a Él, pues está escrito en Salmos 145:18: Cercano está Jehová a los que le invocan, a los que le invocan de veras.

Dichosos los que hemos recibido por gracia la bendición y la protección del Creador del mundo; dichosos los que han creído en el hijo del Dios viviente, pues en la barca no estarán solos los que temen a Jehová.

Bendiciones y alegrías sean multiplicadas en las vidas de los que procuran el bien. Amén.

In one moment everything can be very well and just moments later we can be facing turbulent waters that hit our boat, just as happened in those times when Jesus was with the disciples in the middle of the sea.

At that moment the waves rose and reached extraordinary heights; It is normal to feel panic and terror, it seems to me, anyone being in that position would be afraid and would forget the word “faith”. But faith in what or who? In truth, the disciples remembered that they were not alone and went to the Master asking for help and help. What was the Master doing while we were all panicking? He slept, like one who has power over the waters and the wind.

Then when he woke up, he said to the disciples words like: Why do you have so little faith? And then he rebuked the sea and the winds, as one who has power over the winds and the oceans. Faced with this wonder, the disciples said, as if they still did not believe that they had been walking with such a powerful being for some time: who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

So it seems, we can be walking with the most powerful being, the omnipotent God, and still be surprised, marveled at his prowess. In this life there are situations that certainly rob us of peace and calm; but in those moments He does not stop being God; He is not silent nor departs from those who are faithful to Him, for it is written in Psalms 145:18: The Lord is near to those who call on Him, to those who truly call on Him.

Blessed are those who have received by grace the blessing and protection of the Creator of the world; Blessed are those who have believed in the son of the living God, for those who fear Jehovah will not be alone in the boat.
