EXODE on a Development Spree!
Features have been rolling in at an increasing speed!
EXODE is a science fiction game and its now improved interface allows more clarity and an ease-of-presentation for even more of the wild content the game has in store for you.
Since our last article just 9 days ago, there has been already 3 significant updates, almost going day-to-day as most of the 4 last days were put instead on colonization!
We'll cover some of the additions in this article!

But before speaking about what we did... let's speak about what YOU did!

Contract Delivery Service
Back to our features this month, one of the most important and useful additions was the one of the new Contract Delivery Service.
We covered that already in our previous article.
The new service details each and every contract and new special features, has a visual notification about their deliveries, and a nice presentation overall. ( of course, let's not speak about the previous presentation, as it was lacking! )
On the screenshot here you can see a contract description, description of one of the cards, where to get it, and then every new feature being detailed.
We rarely detail contract packs or our features in our blog articles.
So new players may be confused: what is a contract pack? what is it for?
Let's give you further information about it!
Information about Contract Packs:
This is a new concept that you find exclusively in the EXODE game, a crossover between land ownership and expansion ownership.
When you take a Contract Pack, you can keep it safely in your inventory and then you receive cards every week from its unique drop table!
You can then sell the cards to allow players "to access and use this content", or keep them for yourself, and can still sell the contract at any time for a lot more than its presale value.
Contract packs gain a lot of value over time because they are usually quickly "out of mint", inaccessible from our shop, yet very unique, and some cards (and their elite versions) are still hard to get. Every one of our alpha contracts still sell for about triple their sale value, and that's if one of them is even listed (they usually aren't). Of course, this value will explode later: when EXODE finally distributes itself and more players want these unique cards.
For instance, even if Rekatron weapons are currently abundant, they are extremely useful to players and very recommended; every new player can be interested in getting them, so we know there would never be enough Rekatron cards!
Contract packs a global faction or corporation from the game and an entire set of features and identity inaccessible otherwise, making it much closer to decentralizing an expansion content and making it player owned.
One contract focuses on colonization installations and vehicles: this is the contract pack Tom Settler "We are Premium Buddies", not to mix up with the resource pack Tom Essentials.
Another entirely on weapons: this is the very famous "Weapon Drops" by Rekatron.
And a third alpha contract focuses on our cyberpunk Yakuza, the 'Syndicate' criminal organization and its number of agents, implants, weapons, drugs and stealth ships
Their value is usually well protected because we care about their identity and do not make content that "overlaps" much of it or try to attack its value.
EXODE has, at its core, an ambition to protect player value and to deliver an ethical approach to blockchain gaming, where the game is not to become an ephemeral and economical ponzi. We try a new approach where ownership can keep value even at stable population.
Contract packs have been so far a very successful feature in all angles we can ourselves take about them: proving that identity, utility and a protective approach on player assets can work in a blockchain game. This is also, of course, thanks to the quality of our community too!
Back to the Delivery Service, one of the things we appreciate about it is also the way it can now give more information to players.
But also, one of the beta contracts is becoming more active: the Starbase Shop Franchise. It has announced its upcoming massive deliveries on our delivery interface.
It is a big advantage to our early players as its drops are counted since September 29th of last year.
Yes, this means a lot of cards, but fortunately we have planned many different card models!
To still guarantee rarity and value after this massive distribution, we are planning to retire the Starbase Shop from our proposed packs. There will be a last promotion and then it will be over.
In addition, the contract pack will follow a rotation meaning that at some point next year a large group of drops will be replaced by new cards, reducing distribution of the first wave of cards.

Player Guides and Documentation
The second important update is that we have browsed, extracted and commented about 30 player guides and knowledge articles, then organized them into sections available directly ingame from our new interface.
The information there is massive and covers many areas of the game, from game scenes (evacuation, scanning, early colonization) to assets (knowing everything about every Starter and Contract!).
We may soon update it with a "Start here" section, as suggested by @tandara.

There are many more writers we would like to feature too, so please allow us time to do our second wave of additions, and also don't hesitate to recommend articles to us!
Cards, Packs... and Citizens!
Two other massive updates successively added Packs then Citizens, and then all your Cards to the interface.
The visual approach here is more organized than the usual Collection page and is also much faster to load and display for large collections.
One of the most interesting and "added value" is that we integrated access to wiki and even player guides for assets which had it.
We also wrote a lot of comments to guide players about general categories of assets. Now they just have to click on that "information button" and receive descriptions and links!
Some market information is also displayed, however we are still working on making market fully integrated in our new interface; all its features are not there yet. We will work on it immediately after colonization gameplay!
Citizens?
And yes, for the first time and this very close to market features, your colony assets are displayed there too.
This is actually one of the features we are the most excited about!
Our new process loads everything: your packs, your thousands cards, your planet and its thousands of attributes, your market listings, your colonization game and all your colony assets.
All that will be extremely important for our next Colonization Gameplay, which will at first also be featured right from the same manager interface.
