HOW BEING A GOOD PERSON IMPACTED MY LIFE POSITIVELY

   How good I am

Hello Hive, hello everyone. My name is Elisha Bawa from Nigeria, of course the largest country in Africa. I’m well pleased to participate in the #weekend-engagement hosted by #WEEKEND-EXPERIENCE-COMMUNITY; and will be grossly discussing the topic: A GOOD PERSON; indeed this topic captured my attention the moment I show it pup in the community forum, and I quickly made it to be my weekend engagement topic.

But before I dive into the main topic of interest, I would like to ask this random question; how good are your good deeds?

Being a good person is not just a matter of verbal proclamations, it donates all aspect of our life. You cannot claim to be a good person and yet don’t have a good interpersonal relationship with people around you. You can’t claim to be good but never seen rendering some assistance to someone; you are always seen at the expense of receiving but not giving.
Good people are characterize by the virtue of their sum personalities, they are well mannered, they have empathy and sympathy, they are cheerful giver without expectations in return, they have high esteem and possess some sense of responsiveness and leadership ability. Etc

WAYS I CAN DESCRIBE MYSELF AS A GOOD PERSON.

I was not born with a silver spoon nor surround by rich people but yet am grateful and contented with my situation, I don’t have any job at the moment because am still a student. Am not a total extrovert but I am an easy going person which I love to get connected with people whenever I move into a new place. Your ability to blend with people will help you know more about people around you but if your character is faulty, u ill loss them all.

While I was younger than now, I use to think its rich people that help people but now I have come to realize that it’s actually good people that help people because even when a bad person is swimming in wealth, he hardly help people who are in need of his help; but when a good person is rich, mostly everyone get a touch of his richness. and even when a good person doesn’t have enough to give, he share the little he has because it is in his nature already and such people really understand the power that come with doing great things in a small way.
For example; while I was still in school of health technology at my final year, I was the S.U.G financial secretary. A young lady walked up to me with tears in her eyes, that she has no money to complete her school fees and the school semester exam is fast approaching as the exam timetable is already out, she has put calls across home but no any positive response was received; she pleaded with me to assist her with some cash, I contacted the SUG treasurer but was told we have maximized the limit we can borrowed money out for the semester. I was not financially buoyant but for the sake of her future and the good man in me; I was able to lend her thirty thousand naira (30,000) out of my pocket money till the next semester before she could bay me back. And by the special grace of God we both graduated and she is now married with kids.

 Every good person has a good sense of leadership and coordination. I can explain this in these way

Back here in my school lodge, there was a final year student who always coordinates our monthly light bill but unfortunately he graduated last year. So when we resumed early this year, nearly no one was ready to coordinate others for the light bill and act as the middle man as our caretaker has no concern with anything the happens in the lodge. So I called for a meeting and decide to coordinate. Within that month I paid double fees compare to what others are paying because some student do not have money pay and our light might get disconnected if we don’t pay, I have to be patient and pay extra fees. So being a good person will also cause you to be sacrificial.

HOW BEING A GOOD PERSON HAS CONTRIBUTE POSITIVELY TO ME.

1.It has made me to be more free and friendly with people around me; life without friends is often like a tree without fruit. I was able to make friends with so many people and none of them has ever given a bad expression about me despite the fact that I am not totally perfect.
2.Being a good person has really taught me how to give cheerfully without expectations.
3.It has given me courage to act as a leader who will one day rule a giant chain of people someday.
4.Being a good person has made me to always live by example.
