Is a 9-to-5 Job Holding Us Back From Being Rich?

I've already mentioned that I follow the interviews and advice of Rich men because of my dream to become very wealthy and one guy I've started following is Grant Cardone.

He made a serious point about 9-to-5 jobs that shocked me and I noticed that this whole system is truly as they say, a rigged matrix that controls the average person with the rich getting richer and having full control over the average person.

Grant believes working a regular 9-to-5 job will not make you rich and it's a pretty obvious thing but unfortunately the culture that we live in says go to school and get a high paying 9-to-5 job to become successful.

He says that to become a millionaire, you should work 95 hours a week instead. That means you have to work beyond 9-to-5. It's no brainer for me to understand this because to be better than others you probably have put in more effort.

It's seems that many people limit themselves by sticking to the traditional workweek. Real wealth will comes from expanding your income and to expand your income you'll probably have to go the extra mile when it comes to work hours.

Not everyone will agree to this because the possibility to burnout as a person is there. And besides work is not the only thing in our lives. There's family, friends and other engagements.

The thing I've observed is that many people have jobs with fixed hours. They may not have the time or even the energy to work extra hours. I personally have to go to church sometimes in the evening and that's right after my work hours so it's difficult to add more work hours. I end up very exhausted in the evening and even very hungry. I sleep around 12 midnight and make sure to wake up at around 7 to make it back to work early.

So people like myself are left with no extra hours to work more so what do we do. Well, we could work a standard job and create a side hustle which wouldn't demand too much time.

Building side businesses or finding new ways to earn money can definitely help get us to our wealth goals. I think this path will be more flexible for most people than putting in longer hours.

I think it's all about finding what works best for you. There's another financial Guru that says to become a millionaire in like 5 to 10 years you need to start working 80 hours a week. I guess there's definitely some secret connection between more work and wealth generation.

But whether you choose to hustle or build slowly, financial success is within reach for those who plan and act in that plan.
