2/🧵 There are many sports that are violent by nature, such as martial arts, judo and karate. Would creating stricter rules or using equipment prevent damage or accidents?

3/🧵 MMA fighters have deformed faces over the long term of their careers. Would creating rules not to hit the head or wearing a helmet prevent this damage? Or would the sport lose its identity?
