Lhok Kruet is a village located in the western part of Aceh Jaya, the journey to this village is about 1 hour from my place in Calang City. This village is one of the villages that was hit by the tsunami on December 26, 2004. In the past, this village was famous for its active fish and handicraft trade. The population is also quite large. However, after the Tsunami, this village became deserted and trading activities became quiet here.

One of the features of this village is that it is located close to the sea and most of the residents work as fishermen. Of course, because it is close to the sea, of course, the rest of the views of the beauty of the sea are still here. One of the interesting spots that we visited today was the Lhok Kruet Cliff.

In the past, the Lhok Kruet Cliff beside the sea was not as high as it is now, in the past this cliff may not be too attractive because it is united with the residential area. However, when the Tsunami waves hit this area, these cliffs formed and are getting higher from the sea. Even just looking down, I was worried about falling into the sea. Moreover, this cliff does not have any barriers. If you are in good condition, you should not stand on this side of the cliff, you will feel dizzy and this is not good for your safety.

Although this cliff is not safe, the scenery around the cliff, such as the sea, islands, rocks, and waves is really very beautiful. The cool air because of the shady pine trees will make you feel at home to linger here. Hopefully, you don't forget to bring your camera here to capture some of the beautiful scenery here. The island you see on the other side is called Pulo Raya and according to my friend, there are many spots for fishing, hopefully, one day we can get there.

The entrance to this cliff may not be widely known, because from the center of the village you will pass a road that has not been used for a long time, on the side of the road there has been a lot of weed growth and covering the road. Even though our car can pass it, scratches on car paint are unavoidable. Yes, that's okay. Because all paid off with what we see today.

The residents in this village also seem to have forgotten the potential of this place, and the local government's attention is also very less to managing the tourism area. All the attention now turns to agriculture, people chase the profits from oil palm plantations and forget that there is another tourism potential. I dream that if one day there are investors who want to build this place, profits will always accompany income at all times.

Some of the potentials that can be extracted from this place are a soil structure that has large rocks, there is a clean and shallow beach down there, the closest spot to Raya Island which has a fresh marine fish breeding place, and marine game rides such as banana boats and diving. That's my current image. Again, I feel that the local government has never reviewed this place to see its potential, so they don't get any information about the potential of this place.

In general, the Aceh Jaya region is an area close to the sea, all marine tourism potential is promising, but so far this potential has only been passed by survivors who go to Aceh Barat and Banda Aceh. If they made Aceh Jaya a tourist destination, of course, regional income would increase sharply. Hopefully, this article through #blockchain social media and the role of the #hive #community will become information that they will read and take into consideration.

Without realizing it, the time was approaching night, almost 3 hours we were here and enjoyed it with chat until it was time for us to enjoy the beauty of the sunset that was clearly visible from here. May this beauty be as we wish. Hopefully, this place will become one of the most popular tourist destinations. Goodbye Lhok Kruet Cliff.

I see the place you visited with your team is a fishing spot that is ideal for fringe fishing techniques. Surely a lot of coral-dwelling predators are there and ready to grab our fishing bait.

Unfortunately you do not bring fishing equipment when visiting there. I suspect, you and your team just stopped by to see the scenery there and you share it with all of us here.

Are you just a site survey, Bro?

wow! this really looks like a relaxing place 😃 despite its past disaster and the resulting abandonment of its residents, it seems nature toll has shine thru these cliffs and makes for a perfect view ☺️ thank you for sharing about this wonderful place!
