Monomad | Try to capture the rock at Lhok Kubu Beach
Hello #hive lovers..
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes
Last afternoon, I decided to go to a nearby beach called Lhok Kubu with the aim of capturing some shots of the rocks that naturally hold back the pounding of the waves at the beach. Aside from eroding the beach, the rocks are also responsible for eroding the shoreline. As you can see, I am trying my hand at black and white photography here. I was amazed by the beauty of the scenery and was inspired to try and capture it in black and white. I felt that the contrast of light and dark would add depth to the photos that colour could not. I was determined to capture the majesty of the rocks, waves, and beach in an entirely different way.
It is true that one's ability to take pictures becomes better when mastering many technical and non-technical aspects of photography. It is not enough to make the photograph interesting based solely on its artistic merit. Without proper skills, a photographer produces photos of inferior quality. Therefore, taking the time to master the technical and non-technical aspects of photography is essential in order to create captivating and high-quality images.
Conversely, without a touch of art, the resulting photo is certainly flavorless. The strength of a photo is built by a number of elements, namely, the choice of object, light, composition, angle and moment.
Maybe the photo I gave is not good, or maybe it's not bad, that's natural, any photo we give is very subjective in value.
It is especially important to know that, after uploading to the public space, there will be a variety of opinions that provide feedback. In each of my posts, at the end, I always ask for advice. This is because I assume every opinion is positive and will remain positive as long as we see the need to get an opinion. This shows how sensitive I am, and how willing I am to learn better in the future.
A black photo is one of my attempts to improve my skills in photography, or at least to understand it. Black and white photos with simple subjects and compositions but with a strong sense of art. By reducing the colors to black and white, I am able to focus on the composition and light of the photo, which are essential elements in creating art. I am also able to practice my techniques and explore different perspectives to create unique and interesting photos.
