I would like to tell you about the shopping we did as a family at the large hypermarket "Atacadista" in Brazil. 🛒 Brazilians typically do wholesale shopping here at discounted prices. These small child carts and chairs are quite practical.

There is a popular 2-liter Guarana beverage in Brazil. 🥤 It's priced at 7.79 Brazilian reais. One real is equal to 0.20 US dollars, so the 2 liter drink comes to about 1.57 dollars. We have the option to buy Pureza for 2.99 reais, soda for 2.59 reais and small cans of Guarama for 1.99.

Apart from Antarctica soda, I personally prefer alcoholic beverages. 🍻 You can get Terra Brazilis for around 40.5 reais or Brazilian cachaça for 32.50 reais, which is almost the price of vodka. There's all kinds of wine, though I'm not much of an expert, the prices vary. 🍷 Let's say there's wine for 37.9 reais, White and Red wines, 11 reais for Italy and Portugal and Brazilian wines.

And there's a wide selection of bread. The bread in this photo is 7.29 reais. To be honest the pastries aren't that great. 😕 I've tried different cakes, pastries. But they're either too sugary or not very tasty imo. It's all a matter of personal preference, of course.

Cucumber pickles are 12 reais or 15 reais. Unfortunately we don't have a favorite brand. We usually try and buy a different brand.

These olive preserves are also interesting. They're priced at 12 reais. They're popular due to the large number of old immigrants who migrated from Italy to Germany. There's a wide variety of Italian products. I also recommend the pistachios. They have a very interesting flavor. They're priced at 3.79 reais. I also suggest trying Snickers, one Snickers costs three reais.

How much is chocolate in the land of coffee and cocoa? ☕️🍫 Are you curious? Here, there are productions of international brands like Milka Interestingly, there are also chips with a beef jerky flavor.

A 350 gram Nutella jar costs 22 reais. It's not cheap, we can find cheaper alternatives. I don't know how the quality will be, I'll try similar ones. I think this is a Brazilian brand, produced in Brazil. 🇧🇷 There's Mu-mu too, it's caramelized milk. We usually buy the Tirol brand for 8 reais.

40.jpg

41.jpg

42.jpg

A package of spaghetti costs 3.68 reais. Coffee is being sold in a package for 14.5 reais. Clearly, good coffees seem to be exported. While in Bali, in any café or coffee shop, the aroma of coffee is so delightful that it enchants you and transports you to distant lands.

Green tea is prepared by fermenting and drinking it in pumpkin, coconut, or wooden cups. It looks like a tea bottle in this way. On the beaches, people often enjoy drinking this type of mate tea. 🍵🏖️

These types of vacuum cleaners are sold everywhere. I last used one of these a long time ago and they are incomprehensible after Dyson, of course. Here they are available everywhere, in every corner. They are generally quite expensive.

49.jpg

These small 32-inch televisions with a diagonal of 1600 are quite expensive compared to some countries. The washing machine costs 1900. There's something odd here. It washes with cold water; there's no option for hot water.

In the country they produce sausages and deli products, but taxes here are very high. There's a huge selection to suit every taste. 79 reais for 500 grams of ribs. I don't know what it is, perhaps like pork ribs, like fried pork pieces, 27.5 reais.

53.jpg

54.jpg

Brazilians love these chips, thin crisped potatoes. They put them in sandwiches. 800 grams of salmon for 99.9 reais. Standard.

55.jpg

Here you can get 250 grams of meat for 12 reais, but 1 kilo of chicken costs 16.5 reais, frozen chicken thighs. A kilo of avocado is 5 reais. Mandarins for three and a half reais, they have a sour taste.

Pineapple is a bit puzzling. Of course, it's understandable for 5 liters of orange juice to cost 28.9 reais. There are different, amazing exotic fruits, like a type of crazy mango and passion fruit that we don't understand. 4 reais, I don't quite understand what it is. Or peppers, 59 reais per kilo, puffy. Bananas are 12 reais and pomegranates are 13 each.

These are Pinhao, I mistook them for onions. A kilo of onions is 5 reais and a kilo of potatoes is 4 reais. They are like good potatoes, but with a high starch content. 🥔

We bought a Nespresso machine for coffee and we're using Starbucks capsules. So far, we haven't been able to find regular coffee in Brazil. Unfortunately it seems to be exported. Here's a box of capsules, how much is it here? 11 capsules, 24 reais.

Our basket is filled with products. It's time for us to head back home now. Our total shopping came to 481 reais (98 dollars). I hope you've enjoyed our shopping adventure. Thanks for reading.
