PhotoFeed Contest - Macro Photography - Eressa confinis
This post will be my entry for @photofeed macro photography contest, If you wish to join the contest please kindly read and follow the rules and guidelines here
There are a lot of similar insects or creatures out there that we might think of the same thing, but turns out it was a different species. I have made a post about a completely different species but managed to mimic other species for their defensive system.
This time I have a similar moth from a different species and genus, but in a glance, it will definitely look the same. The one I have not is Eressa confinis which looks very similar to Amata huebneri because of the pattern it has on its body and also on its wings.
Unless you are doing a closer look, you will notice that the white dots on its wings are different, and the patterns on its body are different. The antennae are also different.
I am not going to explain more of the difference, but rather let you enjoy the beauty of this little moth. a creature that we mostly will overlook. Have a great day everyone.

Cool pictures, insects are great at mimicry to avoid predation aren't they?
