Gametis Versicolor

Gametis versicolor is a species of flower chafer found in Asia. The species normally visits flowers on which it feeds and may pollinate a few species.

I think this is the first time I saw this kind of scarab beetle or flower chaffer, because usually, it doesn't have this kind of bright color, usually, it was the black or brown metallic color. but this one has orange, and white dots, and some black on its body.

Just like most of the scarab beetle which will stay still when you try to approach, this little guy was also the same thing. Didn't give a little care about me when I tried to photograph him resting on the tip of a leaf.

It is just too bad, just like the other species from the scarab species, this one also have some kind of bad behaviour toward the human crops, as they will eat some of the flower from certain plant which could bring some loses to the farmer.

Yes this one has a lot of hairs on its body, and it grabs quite strongly if you can catch them. !LOLZ
