If you already read some of my posts you probably noticed that I really like to compare cards that are similar. In this case, Cruel Sethropod it is like a Crypt Beetle and Blinding Reflector but with a few differences. So, who has more utility overall? Obs: I'll ignore Blinding Reflector in this comparison.

On Silver League (Level 5 Max), now both has 2 Melee Damage. However, the difference of armor and HP makes Sethropod a better card in my opinion. Point for cruel! (2-0)

Best Position: 1st position, unless the rule set allows him to hit from another position.

Best rule sets: Weak Magic/Lost Magic since he has a good amount of armor his weakness is magic damage. And also Up Close & Personal/Equal Opportunity/Melee Mayhem/Back to Basics/Little League/Super Sneak.

Melhor posição: 1ª posição, exceto se a regra permitir que ele ataque de uma posição diferente.

Melhores regras: Magia Fraca/Perdida, já que ele tem uma boa quantidade de armadura a sua fraqueza é dano mágico. E também De Perto e Pessoal/Igualdade de Oportunidade/Caos Corpo a Corpo/De volta ao básico/Liga Pequena/Super Furtivo.

LINEUP

In this match I had to choose between three elements: Fire 🔥, Water 💧 and Life ✨. I picked Water since I like the monsters with odd number of this Element, especially with the sneak attack.

Nesta partida tive que escolher entre três elementos: Fogo 🔥, Água 💧 e Vida ✨. Escolhi Água pois gosto dos monstros com número ímpar desse elemento, principalmente com o ataque furtivo.

• Kelya Frendul (Summoner): In Equal Opportunity, speed 🏃 is very crucial, many times the opponent will kill your weakest monsters before they can even attack. For this reason the +1 Armor of Kelya is very important to make them survive against Melee/Ranged monsters.

• Cruel Sethropod (Tank): he usually will survive enough to give time for the backline kill most of the opponent monsters.

• Pelacor Bandit/Sabre Shark/Uraeus: I wasn't sure if I should put him in the 5th-6th position due to his Flying ability helping to dodge against sneak attacks. However, in this rule set I concluded that it would be better to Pelacor take the 1st position and dodge there. In short, their job is simple: kill the backline as fast as possible!

• Angelic Mandarin and Axe Master: Mandarin is going to heal the backline making them survive longer, while Axe Master with his double attack dealing 3 damage (6 in total per turn) was a perfect monster to counter another Kelya since his 1st attack will remove the armor and then finish the job in the same turn!

• Kelya Frendul (Summoner): Em Igualdade de Oportunidades, velocidade 🏃 é muito crucial, poia muitas vezes o oponente matará seus monstros mais fracos antes mesmo que eles possam atacar. Por esta razão, a armadura +1 de Kelya é muito importante para fazê-los sobreviver contra monstros corpo a corpo/à distância.

• Cruel Sethropod (Tank): ele geralmente sobreviverá o suficiente para dar tempo para a linha traseira matar a maioria dos monstros oponentes.

• Pelacor Bandit/Sabre Shark/Uraeus: Eu não tinha certeza se deveria colocá-lo na 5ª ou 6ª posição devido à sua habilidade de voar ajudando a esquivar contra ataques furtivos. No entanto, neste conjunto de regras concluí que seria melhor o Pelacor ficar na 1ª posição e esquivar-se ali. Resumindo, o trabalho deles é simples: matar o backline o mais rápido possível!

• Angelic Mandarin e Axe Master: Mandarin vai curar a linha traseira fazendo com que eles sobrevivam por mais tempo, enquanto Axe Master com seu ataque duplo causando 3 de dano (6 no total por turno) era um monstro perfeito para combater outro Kelya desde sua O 1º ataque removerá a armadura e terminará o trabalho no mesmo turno!

THE BATTLE

My opponent built a similar strategy as mine, but the biggest differential was Nerissa Tridawn and my Axe Master, since Axe Master costs 2 less mana than Nerissa I could add an additional Sneak monster which was very relevant for the final result.

Meu oponente montou uma estratégia parecida com a minha, no entanto, o maior diferencial foi a Nerissa Tridawn e meu Axe Master. Como Axe Master custa 2 mana a menos que Nerissa eu pude colocar um monstro sorrateiro adicional o que foi bastante relevante para o resultado final.

Highlights/Destaques:

• I was the underdog in this match, some of the monsters of my opponent was the same as mine, but with 1 to 3 levels higher!

• Positioning was the key for the victory! If my opponent replaced his Nerissa to position 6 I would win about 40 to 50% of the time according to the Splintertools. While in position 5 my win rate is around 80%-85%.

• Angelic Mandarin with triage had a big role to keep Axe Master alive.

• Cruel Sethropod fulfilled his role, tanked in 1st position and survived till the end of the battle.

• Fui o azarão nesta partida, alguns dos monstros do meu oponente eram iguais aos meus, mas com 1 a 3 níveis acima, ou seja, eu deveria perder na maioria das vezes!

• O posicionamento foi a chave para a vitória! Se meu oponente substituísse sua Nerissa para a posição 6, eu ganharia cerca de 40 a 50% das vezes, de acordo com o Splintertools. Enquanto na posição 5, minha taxa de vitória seria de cerca de 80% a 85%.

• Angelic Mandarin com triagem teve um grande papel para manter o Axe Master vivo e matar rapidamente os inimigos.

• Cruel Sethropod cumpriu seu papel, tankou na 1ª posição e sobreviveu até o final da batalha.
