Come Watch The Sun Rising With Me On The Beach ( with Time Lapses)
I've been gently advised by some friendly hivers, to go on a dog friendly beach instead of the one I've visited last week in Denia, so we woke up early with Jack & Charlie, packed the car, and went for a 30 minutes drive on the highway.
The beach is called Playa Para Perros, and most reviews were like "Too many dogs", or "it's hardly a beach", and on arrival I can already tell you that people just don't know how to have fun.
The entrance
The area looks really cool, clean and quite classy. I would even daresay that it's an area pleasant to look at, especially on that early morning when literally nobody is around yet.
The parking was completely free, and not a soul to be seen. I do enjoy to wake up early 😁.
The dogs are so excited, it's hard to contain them, but I keep them on the leash up until we arrive on the beach.
A really incredible view from up there, especially just before the sun comes up. My first thought was, "could you swim to the little island over there?"
The beach
Hearing nothing but the waves, is something that I wanted to do for a long time. The road is far enough, far away from the hootings, the shouting, the people.
I actually bumped into 2 persons, one man with his dog taking pictures with his dog sitting on a rock, and a pregnant woman (wearing a thong😉, here you go) going for a morning swim.
My dogs were very well behaved, and so was I.
We walked for a little while, waiting for the first ray of sun to appear to us. There is almost a palpable tension in the air, the entire (part of the) world is waiting for the warm embrace of the sun, that everyday never misses a beat.
Wow Ed this is some elaborate post, did you set a tripod and walked in front of it just to get some cool shots?
Yes.
Touché...
I've got the Thong Song by Sisco in my head, while watching the sun doing its show. As usual he likes to make himself wait...The Sun, not Sisco.
The dogs are getting really comfortable with the sea water. The beach was relatively clean, and the dogs were running up and down on the leash, I was so happy to finally let them roam free after 2 weeks of being cooped up, and constantly on the beach. I can tell that they're enjoying even the smells, the elements, the wind, Charlie had a bit of an infection on his paw when we arrived, and the salt water really helped clearing the wound.
The show is about to start...
The sun rises
This is what the directors call "The Money Shot", at least that's how they called it on movies I featured in.
I like this shot, of course as usual I cranked the saturation on my IG:
Which come to think of it, isn't the best option.
A really romantic moment (awkward silence...)
Sun is up
And then he was there, saying like "there you go, I am sun", and after a few minutes, we felt his presence granted, and almost forgot about the burning ball of gas supposedly 150.43 million km away.
Jack feels the importance of the moment and strike a well timed pose. Good job buddy, this is how we grind the IG.
Then the 2 homies really quickly lost their shit, and went for a swim.
And we end up with these 2 shots of the boat, the palm tree, and the island. I got some happy dogs, I am a happy man, I hope everyone is doing well, signing off.
Thanks for walking with me on the beach and watch the rise!
Ed
Khm, khm, you came to Altea, to the playa para perros and didn't say anything? 😱
LoL I had no idea we were neighbors!!! I will let ya know when I go back! It's the best thong...I mean thing, it's the best thing around for the dog!
They are some happy doggies right there. What a lovely little beach. I love to watch dogs running free and getting to enjoy the water. I am looking forward to meeting them both. Love those sunrise shots as well xxxx
Hey I totally miss that!

Yeah they doing well, the salt water is good for their paws!
Beautiful shots!
Oh thanks Chanmaly!!!
Great shots of a man and his by the beach. Such a quiet and peaceful looking scenery. Open waters and the sunset made great subjects.
Thanks @bearmol There's nothing better than the quiet and peace of the early morning!
That I can definitely agree with.
