Greetings creative community, it is a pleasure to greet you, I hope you are very well, having a good time with your families and friends.

A while ago going through my things, I found a picture of my sister and me when we were 4 and 5 years old respectively, it is the only picture of those first years of life that we have, and I took it out I wanted to have it close and I said to myself why not make a portrait holder, and well I had thought about cardboard but I took a look at my box of materials and I have popsicle sticks.

So I said let's make it out of popsicle sticks, I had bought these sticks some time ago for a job for my son in school....

Really these portrait holders are cute, easy to make and also economical to make a detail for mom, children, boyfriends, friends and now that Valentine's Day is coming these details are usually quite romantic and emotional ... So girls and boys, let's get to work.

Materials used:✨

🩷 Popsicle sticks (16)
🩷 Cold silicone glue
🩷 Construction paper
🩷 Photograph
🩷 Flexible dough applique
🩷 Golden paint and paintbrush.

Step by step of portrait holder

1- We take 4 popsicle sticks and place two on top and two on the bottom with a distance of 6 cm. I did it with this measure because the photo is 6x6 cm, I put silicone glue on the ends and I put two sticks on those ends.

2- After they were a little dry, I placed a little piece of foami to serve as a base for the photo and on top of it I glued another stick, on the top I also glued another one.

3- Once the previous part is ready, I glued two more sticks as shown in the following image and thus we already have the part where the photograph will be placed.

4- We will make the base, for that we will place three sticks together, we will apply silicone glue and we will place two more sticks leaving a small space, in that space we will place a stick. As shown in the pictures.

5- Once the assembly is finished and they are dry, apply a little golden color, just pressing the brush a little against the pieces of the portrait holder, also apply a little color to the flower-shaped applique.

6- While the pieces were drying, glue the photo to the construction paper and trim the excess.

7- We assemble the pieces, those lower ends that protrude we place them between the base and it looks like this:

I really liked the result, I wanted it to have the natural color of the palettes, and I think that the "color decoration" was well with what I was looking for and with the red of the flower it gave a touch of color to the portrait.
