A Fun Sunday, HPUD Today, and 7,900 HP This Week! by @tydynrain

Yesterday, for the first time in almost 2 years, I went off-property to go out for Sunday Funday along the coast. I went with Zai, Lizzie, and Soozi, who had invited me earlier in the week. I'm honestly so glad that I went, because I had a really beautiful time! Zai and Soozi dropped Lizzie and I off at Kehena (a popular secluded black-sand beach that has been clothing-optional since 1955), and they went to the Lawn. Although Zai and Soozi wanted to go to Kehena too, Soozi's hips aren't so good, so she wouldn't be able to get down the steep, rocky path to and from the beach, so she opted for the Lawn, with Zai going to keep her company.

Heron Landing Photo Sequence! by @lesmann

Since this is the first day of the month I decided, or got lucky and was able to make this special!
I was at the Park earlier today and got very lucky and was able to get this photo sequence of a Heron making a landing on one of the Fishing Pier lights!

It's Great to be Back by @daniky

It's a privilege my writing is meeting you well at this moment. Roughly 5 months I've been away due to some circumstances, and I'm glad I'm back on hive. I know I've missed a lot of fun and important personalities on this platform. Though it's not been an easy situation but we must be grateful for the gift of life.

Cinnamon Roll Day + Día del Rollo de Canela by @pedrobrito2004

Hello everyone. Usually, I focus my comments on my daily post on a food topic, and then I get the urge to eat the exact food I'm writing about. But today, the opposite happened, at least in terms of the order of events.

Train Your Heart How To Accept Disappointment by @leemah1

You will be disappointed even by the people you love so don't ever cry for that one person who hurt you, although it will hurt you but you can just smile at it and thank them, who knows, their disappointed might make you to meet someone who is better than them, maybe they are the ones blocking your chances.

🩺Today's Medical/Health TitBit🩺

Effects of long-term PPI therapy

One of the most commonly used medicines in the general population is PPI (e.g. omeprazole, esomeprazole, pantoprazole, Rabeprazole, etc.) aka “gas medicine”. For any tummy upset, one of the medicines will be due to gas or acidity. Nowadays, the prazole group of drugs is preferred over antacids or H2-blocker! However, it has some demerits if used for a long time!

  • It is associated with reduced absorption of iron, B12, and magnesium.
  • It is also associated with a small but increased risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures.
  • The drugs also predispose to gut infections with bacteria such as Salmonella, Campylobacter, and possibly Clostridium difficile.
  • It increases the risk of helicobacter-associated (a bacterium in the stomach) waste away from the stomach's inner lining (medically it is called gastric mucosal atrophy).

I want to share something I've been excited about lately. It's called LiveGood, and it's all about helping people improve their health, save on daily products, and even create an additional income stream if they're interested.

If you're curious, here is a quick short video that explains it. The best part is that they accept Crypto as a payment option!
