That said, I want to invite you to join me in the process of creating a Christmas ornament, which is a magnet decorated in the shape of a sock.

But it is not just any sock, since it not only has the color and the typical Christmas decorations, but inside it keeps gifts and treats waiting to be opened when the long-awaited date arrives. El espíritu navideño ya está tocando a la puerta y, aunque aún faltan varios días para esa fecha, no podemos dejar el tema de la decoración para el último momento. Dicho esto, quiero invitarte a que me acompañes en el proceso de creación de un adorno navideño, el cual es un imán decorado con la forma de un calcetín.

Pero no es un calcetín cualquiera, ya que no solo tiene el color y las típicas decoraciones de Navidad, sino que en su interior guarda regalos y golosinas que esperan ser abiertas cuando llegue la tan esperada fecha. Step by step // Paso a paso

1️⃣ To begin, draw and cut out each piece of the ornament on a sheet of paper. Use the image below as a template if necessary.

Para empezar, dibuja y recorta en una hoja de papel cada una de las piezas del adorno. Utiliza la imagen a continuación como molde en caso de ser necesario.

2️⃣ Once the templates are ready, start marking and cutting out the fomi pieces. The sock will be made of frosted red fomi with the toe and heel of plain green fomi. For the top edge of the sock and the candy cane, use white fomi. For the flowers and leaves, she uses red and green fomi, respectively. Also use frosted purple fomi for the gift.

Una vez las plantillas estén listas, empieza a marcar y recortar las piezas de fomi. El calcetín será de fomi rojo escarchado con la punta y el talón de fomi verde liso. 3️⃣ With each part cut out you can start gluing them together. Start by gluing the green toe and heel to the body of the sock. Then glue the white border to the top.

Con cada parte recortada ya puedes empezar a pegarlas entre sí. Comienza pegando la punta y el talón verdes al cuerpo del calcetín. Luego pega el borde blanco en la parte superior.

4️⃣ Glue the green ribbon to the top of the gift. Glue the gift to the top left side below the white border and add a line of gold fomi vertically. Then, add a series of gold fomi lines and a frosted pink fomi bow to the candy cane. Glue the candy cane to the side of the gift.

5️⃣ The flower will be placed on top of the sock, but first it must be assembled. Glue the red pieces one on top of the other, respecting the size. Then glue the petals on top of the leaves. Before gluing it on the sock, cut out a small golden flower and place it in the center of the red flower.

La flor irá colocada encima del calcetín, pero antes hay que montarla. Pega las piezas rojas una encima de la otra, respetando el tamaño. Luego, pega los pétalos encima de las hojas. Antes de pegarla en el calcetín, recorta una pequeña florecita dorada y colócala en el centro de la flor roja.

6️⃣ Cut out 6 more gold flowers and glue them on top of the white edge of the sock, just at the bottom.

7️⃣ Use a black permanent marker or pen to draw black lines on top of the toe and heel of the sock as if it were a seam.

8️⃣ Finally, glue the magnet on the back of the ornament, just in the central area, since it does not need so many magnets as it does not weigh much.
