Putting it all on 'Red'

I remember an anecdote about Ben Bernanke, when he became chairman of the Federal Reserve he had to reveal his stock portfolio, and it came to light that he had only one stock. In this case it was Altria group.

I kind of feel that way right now, and I have an idea to let you all know what I am doing. Personally, I hold a few other things, but in terms of LPs, I have removed many from my portfolio - CINE, SIM and others - I am sitting large in basically one LP only.

Its a pretty big part of my portfolio in fact. Of course I have Hive Power, and dCity holdings, and some scattered splinterlands assets mining grain for me. But this pool is my current play on the markets. Let me show you what I am doing.

So I really like the different Splinterlands pools. I think Splinterlands is well positioned, and they are basically giving away free SPS token, which I think has some good upside potential. Its moved a bit off the bottom already, and I think it might really jump especially as land fills up and the new internal LPs open up for the land resources.

It should be a lot of SPS bought and burned to get that DEC. So I want to get in on some of that. Right now I am pairing Swap.HIVE with SPS. Its not the top APR of all the pools, but I really like the pair.

Why not SPS with DEC? Well, this is a (psuedo)stable coin with a volatile coin, so the Impermanent Loss could be an anchor on my ROI at some point. Why not Voucher:Swap.Hive? I do think voucher has the potential for intermittent pumps, but it has much less usecase than SPS, so its pumps are more muted and less frequent, mostly limited to special events.

I like both SPS and HIVE, and so I don't mind holding either one of these. I think its likely that SPS will pump first, leading to HIVE to pump more, and perhaps generally staying pretty close together in ratio, but maybe most likely leaving me with more HIVE and less SPS, although not likely by a lot.

I keep putting my pennies in and suddenly, recently, I realized that these are not pennies any more. I have a major portfolio position into this trade. I don't really have many/any liquid funds in anything else either. This is what I'm doing now!

As for when I will end the trade, I am not sure. Eventually I will need some money, and as this is what I am doing with my liquid funds, it seems likely that I will reach into here first. But as I think there is 10x potential on both of these tokens, I might try to leave them in here for a while to see what the future holds. If this little baby does 10x, I could probably live off of the interest!

So that is what I am doing. My crypto portfolio is not as robust as it might have been, I took lots of profits last cycle and never came back, as I bought lands. And I have continued squeezing, for a man has to live.

But we aren't out of the game yet, things like this remind me that we are way ahead of where we were in any other cycle. It was just a $2500 investment into Splinterlands Untamed kickstarter that led to such great results last cycle. Let's see what the future holds for us this cycle.
