Will Elon Bringing Back Free Speech to Twitter?
How long has it been since Elon Musk took over 9% of Twitter with 1% of his Networth? Less than 2 weeks I guess? he had promises of bringing back people who the propaganda machines had made victims like Donald Trump, Jordan Peterson and Andrew Tate.
If you read any of my content (kudos to you, you are amazing human beings) then you know I am a big supporter of free speech and I am against compelled speech so when they took down these people I found it very confusing. Donald Trump (net worth 3.2 billion) was someone I didn't care about and I never paid attention to but once they found it necessary to remove him from Twitter I started to listen to what he had to say and I tried to judge for myself if it was worthy of banning him from Twitter. After listening to him for a while I noticed a big gap between what people said they believed in and what they do.
In the instance of Jordan Peterson (net worth $8 million), I had been listening to him for years when he addressed some facts about the transitioning of a famous actress and explained how the mental health experts and surgeons had let this woman down given that she had shown clear clinical features for months and was simply just allowed to destroy her body. Would you believe that the world would shot-up someone who has been practising and teaching clinical psychology for decades? As if his opinions on the matter are irrelevant.
Another person who was just like Trump to me was Andrew (net worth $355 million). I hated his egg head, I didn't even know why I felt that way...I just knew it was the right way to see him. I started to see reactions to some of his talks on Youtube and I found that this man had a lot of logical arguments for why he felt the way he said the things he said.
Andrew was banned for saying depression was not a real thing. Which is weird because the whole world is saying that gender dysphoria does not exist unquestioned.
I wish I could get undiluted short takes from these people in real-time as it should be because I do not think that this social media worth billions-dollar would be destroyed simply because they speak their minds.
The beauty of free speech is that you can know for sure how and what people think but people want you to tiptoe around the truth.

Some moderation will always exist even with Elon Musk who purchased Twitter.
Yeah...of course, but they should be stated clearly and shifted to please a crowd
Unless a platform is technically censorship-resistant like Hive, then it doesn't mean shit.
Twitter can say they will bring back free speech all they want.
But the fact of the matter remains that Elon can flick the switch whenever he feels like it and censor.
All roads lead to Hive.

Totally, I am for Hive growing. I would love for Hive to make a way for bigger content creators to feel at home here. What we need are a few big influencers.
