Crafting a wall art of African women

Greetings to everyone

African women has long been a symbol of strength, resilience and beauty. I strongly believe that their stories, triumph and struggles should be celebrated and showcased and carried on through generation, one creative and innovative way to achieve this objective is through diy cardboard wall art, honouring African women's heritage and empowering their image. African textiles, patterns and styles inspires this unique art form inspiring creativity and creative thinking. So I was doing some thinking on what to do and an idea popped up in my mind to creat this diy African women wall art, cardboard a honourable material transformed into art honouring their heritage.

PROCESS INVOLVED

step I

I began my craft by first measuring the size of A4 paper on my carton. After that, with the help of my pencil, I drew the first woman beginning from her head, down to her neck and her two hands. I then drew her body down to her legs.

After doing that, I then continued drawing the second and the third woman to be put on the craft.

In this step, I then carefully cut out the three drawings of the women with my cutter.

step 4

After I finished cutting and drawing the craft of the women, I then made a frame consisting of cardboard and I made it into two pieces and also connected them together with cardboard also

After making the frame for my craft, I then began to gum my cardboard women to the frame with the help of my gum.

I then colored my cardboard frame with black acrylic paint firstly.

After that, I then started colouring the cardboard African women

Here I then used my white poster colour which I bought to draw the necklaces, earrings, edge of the women rappers, head tie hand bangles and leg beads to give it a touch of African beauty.

After carefully crafting everything out, this is my final result which I am presenting to you all
