Wings of freedom

Spread your wings little bird
The cage that had held you in bars are broken
Thy owner had been paid off
It's autumn, fly to the fountain

Flap hard, you're now thy owner of your will
Let thy wings grow strong
And may this wing of freedom sing aloud
In the land where slavery is lost forever

Sing to the mountains, dance in the rain
Let your days of freedom count
Open your wings and fly high
Remember no more your days of agony

Its a wing of freedom, embrace it
Spread them wide for the world to see
In them lies beauty that the world is yet to see
Its freedom time, make the most of it.

This is an amazing poem; I sense there's a lot more meaning to it than meets the eye.

It reminds me so much of "Why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou. Well done!
