The End Of Human Race?//A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

"Could this be the end of the human race?" Benton asked, he was amazed at how artificial intelligence was able to perform human tasks.

The year was 2050, technology has taken over every industry. More sophisticated robots were built with intelligence to interact like humans and looked like humans but it became a threat to humanity.

"What will happen to us?" Benton added, looking intensely at Dr. Steve who specialized in artificial intelligence.

"Humans will no longer have to worry about making errors, computers will do all the work" Dr. Steve replied, holding one of the robots he had built. "Watch this" he said and pressed a button in the remote he was holding.

"GoodMorning Dr. Steve, what can I do for you?" the robot responded.

"Check my To-do list for today and do the first task" Dr. Steve replied.

Immediately the robot started to organize the documents Dr. Steve had planned to do and within a few seconds it was done. Benton stood there with his mouth wide open, surprised at how fast it had done the task.

"Could this be the end of the human race?" Benton asked the second time.

"Not really" Dr. Steve replied, "let's just say end of suffering for humans"

"But how would humans earn a living?, no work, no pay" Benton asked concerned about the future with how far technology was going.

"Let's say, the world's people would learn to be computer literate who would be able to manipulate robots and would be paid for the services" Dr. Steve said.

"What happened to other Fields?"

"Let's hope they have a way to fix themselves in the future of artificial intelligence, " Dr. Steve said, proud about the achievement he had made.

One thing scared Benton, he was happy the world was becoming more sophisticated, change they say is constant, everyone expected a change would occur in the nearest future and here it was but the fact that robots rendered humans less significant troubled him. The world was at risk of being enslaved by robots created by humans. This was not the revolution we had envisioned He thought. It was okay to have machines work the heavier jobs but a future where robots took over everything was more scary, it was just the beginning, he hoped the reality wouldn't be as bad as he had visualized. He sighs and returns to take a rest for the day.
