Land of fury

The sun had just set like a great red ball of fire shining through the haze of desert dust when Arkad strolled to sit under his favorite orchard tree. Under the tree were already six full grown men waiting for his arrival, reclining on the shallow grass that covered the ground like a rug. They greeted Arkad and addressed him as master. He looked about dazed at the salutation,

"You address me as master, who are you?" He asked

"We are men from the east across river Euphrates, we have walked for days in search of you, master"

"Gad, your friend has told us about you, we desire to hire you as our pirate as we sail the sea to the land of fury" One of the men said.

"I no longer sail, the waters are no longer my friend" Arkad said, showing no interest to embark on the journey. He had almost lost his life in the attempt to travel to the same land of fury and had vowed to quit being a pirate. In his ears were soft whispers of his childhood determination to become the best pirate ever , the whispers still troubled him at night in his sleep. He paused for a while waiting for the torment in his head to go down.

"The gods had told us we do be successful"

"Liars! Liars, they had said the same thing before my last trip, they are deceivers. I lost a whole crew believing those false messengers' ' Arkad said in a loud voice.

"The map of Amazon has been found and only one piece is missing. It has been verified that it's hidden in one of the caves in the land of fury, if we find it, you'd accomplish the dream you've always wanted to -being the greatest pirate, Master, think about it "

Arkad paced around the orchard tree and gazed into the open air like a man who had beheld a beautiful bride.

"100 pieces of silver" he said, " and we go with my rules, the river had betrayed me once. Now tell me, what dangers do I need to be prepared for?"
