Evolution
It's just like yesterday, so many things had given way to a new one. It was always beautiful listening to tales from my grandma who couldn't wait to tell us of the good old days, how there was unity among them, humans were no danger to another, and farming was the major occupation with no electronic gadgets. Some would say evolution has led to a better world where things are done in ease, however, the easier it becomes, the more dreary it is. What we've created are the monsters that haunt us. I wonder and can only wonder, why evolution gave birth to more grieves than joy.
Evolution is inevitable as change is constant, and human needs are insatiable but why has it become the thorn in men's neck?. The more technologies are introduced, the more we're subject to their creators. They have eaten deep into us that we can no longer do without them, or make us believe we can't do without them. We've been denied privacy, we've put our entire life savings in a structure called a bank, we're subjected to policies made by greedy men, and every one of our jobs is tied to one or more of these gadgets- it's unfortunate that we no longer trust people but machines.
As much as evolution has its downsides, it also has some positive sides. It has made communication easier and introduced ways of Sharing information across regions. If there's anything our grandparents appreciate in this era, it should be these ones. One can only imagine what would become of the generation in 50 years to come if technology continues at this speed with the introduction of AI in mind. Unfortunately there's more change in the technological side than evolution in our reasoning and handling of complex issues. Evolution has become the fear of many as no one knows what is waiting to unfold with time, but then, prepare/empower yourself for whatever lies ahead while waiting.
