We all enjoying the consequences.

I saw the news today that the Guinness company is planning to leave Nigeria because of the bad economy and all I could think about was their workers, we will have another thousand Nigerians in the streets jobless and this will add to the unemployment rate in the country. I don’t blame most companies leaving Nigeria because it does not look as if this will get better any time soon. Apart from the fact that those companies are not encouraged to remain in the country the taxation by the Nigerian government is just too much.

So it is evident that the government does not care about the citizens and if this company should go away from the country, the government doesn’t care about thousands of Nigerians who will be jobless. some of these Nigerians when they got the jobs to work with Guinness might have thought that they were financially free because it a a top job in Nigeria but now they are back to square zero and within a few months they would spend all their savings.

Our relationship with the economy

Sometimes it is simple to have financial freedom. You have to create a very good relationship with the economy that no matter what in the economy it will not affect you or it will not destroy your life but in the current state of Nigeria so many lives have been destroyed and now it is even getting very difficult to be financially free in the country because we have some places in Nigeria that you cannot even go to work without being kidnapped that means if you have a business, you can’t go there because of the insecurity in the country.

Even if you are working for a company or you only have a business, you can still end up being broke because of the insecurity and the rate at which the economy is getting bad every day, and what this simply means is that nobody is actually safe in the current state of Nigeria and if care is not taken things can easily get out of hand when the people cannot take it anymore. Whether we like it or not we must be able to have one voice in this country and divided opinion is what has been killing us because we continue to choose the wrong leader over and over again.

People are learning in the hard way

It is obvious that the citizens are learning the hard way, and even though I’m happy that this is happening because they are enjoying the consequence of the action, I also feel terrible that so many people and lives are been affected, including those people that do not vote the current administration. I know this doesn’t guarantee that in the next election people will be determined to make better decisions and vote for the right candidate, but I know everybody has already seen that whether you go out to vote or not, whether you choose to vote for anybody there is always a consequence for every decision you make.

Thanks for your time.

The meat is way too fresh. Ehh

Nigeria is currently hopeless and everyday it becomes unsustainable for investors, it hurts really, but unfortunately it's our new reality

Guiness is planning to leave? Damn! After a couple of others have left recently? I recently red where some of the foreigners who own companies here sold their shares and left. Really pathetic.

Come next election, you will still see people in full support of those leaders who didn't perform well for reelection.
Very pathetic.

So pathetic, I just pray this doesn't lead to another thing entirely

It sucks to see that companies are leaving because it will mean unemployment for some people. I don't blame them though because their focus is on profits and if things aren't working, they will just leave.

As for people voting correctly, I think it will move things slightly but I don't think there will be a massive change in people's voting habits.

The future prospects are looking gloomy with each passing day, probably more companies will follow in the same footsteps when things stop being profitable for them. I just hope people can make better decisions next time.
