Juror #2: last great movie by Clint Eastwood (my movie review)
Hello friends!
Once again, I'm taking advantage of a little time off to watch a series or a movie in this case. There's a lot to choose from, but in the movie section we've been hearing about something good for a while now, and it's also directed by the tireless Clint Eastwood. So it's interesting.
This movie is called Juror #2, and it's on HBO MAX now, I want to talk about it, because it has been excellent but the director is pretty good right?. So I want to share here my review and explaining a little what this TV show is about... Maybe later you feel inspired to watch it too!
What is this about?
When I started watching it, the first thing I thought was that it reminded me of some other movie, but then I saw other details that make it magnificent in itself.
It's about a boy who starts a family, is expecting a baby, and during those days he is called to be part of a jury, which will have to judge the death (homicide) of a girl who was found on a road. Apparently everything points to her boyfriend, who, enraged after fighting with her outside a bar, kills her, is judged guilty, but it will be the 12 members of the jury who decide if he is really guilty or not...
This thing about the jury members reminded me of an old movie called "Twelve Angry Men" in which a jury also had to decide if the accused was really guilty and they begin to debate without reaching an agreement while the doubts and questions increase. Well, this one is similar in principle, but it has more details on the outside and something that cannot be told. [SPOILER
]
The characters & The plot
The main character is the young man who begins to doubt and ask questions. He is not as sure as the others that the accused is the real murderer, but why?
Ah, well, he plays a good role, but there is more, and little by little the film offers us more details and reasons, we begin to understand some things. But the doubts and other parallel investigations continue, with a prosecutor who is less and less clear about what is happening thanks to a retired police officer and also decides to look for the truth beyond what was said in the trial.
What was previously neither contemplated nor believed is becoming increasingly clear. Nothing is what it seems and seeing how the film ends with an ending that leaves us wanting to see more, it may be that what we really conclude is that... justice is blind.
Anything else to comment? The production & The director
As the title says, the film was shot by the famous director Clint Eastwood, who we remember as an actor in many legendary films and as a director in many other magnificent films, like this one.
It is clear that he still knows what he is doing and he does it fantastically, everything makes sense, everything intrigues and everything leaves us in suspense. It has no pretensions and leaves much to think about. So I recommend it, it has been a while since we have seen good quality films after too much content, so watch it!
I have been telling so much. So now... you have to watch it on MAX!
And some people are asking about a second part!

It's genuinely impressive that Clint Eastwood at this age is still directing, and actually managing to make films that critics are highly praising.
Yeah he is really great and reminds us that talent is not a matter of age! 😁

That 2nd picture also made me think of 12 Angry Men which is one of my all-time favorites.
I'm sure that somewhere this year I'll give Juror#2 a watch.
Yeah it was actually my first thought... that old movie that I watched in a Law class many years ago! This seems a new good version, let's say with some other details. Hope you watch it!

I'll watch anything that Eastwood is involved in. He has so many excellent films under his belt that this one has to at least be better-than-average.
Yes he is really a very good director and actor! And this movie is excellent 👌 the plot is good and in my opinion inspired in others but with very nice details. If you want quality definitively Clint Eastwood continues to be a great choice always!
