Alicante: Mediterranean vibes & the city

Hello people!

Another trip, to nearby places that are familiar but at the same time different and unique, as they all are. And we find ourselves in a bleak, arid and hot place, as if we had lost ourselves in the world. But we are not lost, it's summertime and we are going to the Spanish city of Alicante.

We begin to see some signs that catch our attention and despite the strange surroundings, they tell us that we are on the right track, and we finally see palm trees and then we arrive at our destination, Alicante, a Mediterranean city with its own charm.

We almost directly approach the famous beach "Playa del Postiguet", although it is already somewhat late, but in summer, we love the light of the sunset and it gives us a peace that we enjoy on a pleasant promenade, where locals and tourists pass by especially during these summer times, feeling that sea breeze so appreciated at those final hours of the day.

But the next day, in the full sun, everyone is already bathing in the warm sea under the blue sky. Lots of people, lots of heat, and that's what summer is like here.

Later again, we looked around at the mountain, at that castle up there, wanting to go and discover other views of that crowded beach, where hours pass and people continue to enjoy those Mediterranean waves and live the summer vibes.

In the end we go up the whole mountain path until we reach that ancient castle from another era, it is the castle "Castell Santa Bárbara" and from there we enjoy the views of a city of apparent urban chaos but pleasant at the same time, and also in the distance the port and of course the Mediterranean Sea always in the background.

But before finishing the quick trip to Alicante, we also stopped by the marina port to enjoy the serene sunset, quieter and more solitary among the moored boats that sway slightly, while the last rays of the sun shine on the water and say goodbye to us.

It was a quick but intense getaway, with many other things, but the essence of the city is there, in the sea that accompanies it, in the people who bathe, in that feeling of summer calm that floods everything despite the frenzy of vacation moments. Everything comes together in that place, promenade and urbanism, history and castle, people and beach, views, boats and always, at any moment and time, the Mediterranean Sea.
