This morning, my @c0ff33a coffee and I were sitting together doing a scroll-through of the posts. It happens often, somehow reading goes better with a little bit of @c0ff33a coffee. I am currently sailing the Atlantic with the ship heading for a place more amenable to all. You know what I mean, right? Far from the maddening crowd, although that was meant more to be funny than serious. It is a glorious day and I am taking the slow ship to the destination, but, I took my computer with me although I will not always get reception, but, is enough to take it along.

Today is a #BeautifulSunday by @Ace108, where we share our day in the most possibly beautiful way that we can. I find myself back home again, after spending the day at the shore and I will finally call it a day, a definitely #SublimeSunday in the making, by the Meister of my morning, @c0ff33a. I do love my @c0ff33 and he likes eclectic! A definite match made in my heaven.

Same ship, different time. I have been on this ship before, which is probably boring for you, but, I am a little disorganized right now and it was an easy way to say that I am gone. Mostly spur of the moment, but, a tiny bit of prior planning. It is pretty nice when you don't have to make arrangements for everything and things seem to mostly take care of themselves. Of course, that means things have been organized so that they do run by themselves...almost.

20191029_120751.jpg

Dining is always an experience, they always make it beautiful and inviting, beckoning me to sit down and stay a while. The waiters are all knowledgeable about how things are made and what pairs well with them. Many are well-educated in pairing wines and dinners, although truth is told, I am not a wine snob, so I am pretty easy to please. Dinner is almost always an adventure or at least a surprise to one of us. We make it a point to try something that one of us has never had. Tonight my sister got to try Turkish roasted eggplant salad. Even willingly. Why not, right? I love roasted vegetable salads, but, I don't think I have ever had this dish made the same way. Bingo! That is why I like to have it in different places. Missing is the picture. I have it on my cell phone and hopefully will download it tomorrow. I can only use one device at a
time. I am happy to have any service, so I do not complain. Not even in my head.

meal.png

I feel fortunate to be spending time this way with some of my siblings. We are a close family and on occasion, we like to travel together, although we almost never all get together at one time. I am one of nine and that kind of organization is beyond my pay grade. We all live in different States, although 3 do live in New England, one on the Canadian border, one here in Washington, DC, and some down South...California... basically strewn about, but most of us travel with jobs, so we cross paths a fair amount. I will be meeting up with two sets, separately, mixing business and pleasure. How often do we get to do that?

IMG_2589 edit.JPG

I always walk through the casino before the ship leaves port. There is no gambling or selling of anything before the ship is seven miles off the coast. It has to do with avoiding taxes and bureaucracy, much to do with all the paperwork. Let us say that it is mainly taxes. Gambling is tax and law. Once they come into a port, they fall under local jurisdiction and would be expected to give a percentage of the winnings. I like the lights and the colors in the casino and you have to walk through it to get to some parts of the ship. (or walk up a flight and walk across to avoid it) I don't gamble, I do throw in the free coin they give me (or this time it was five) and I always keep my winnings.I know, what a cheapskate, right?

Never forget the joy in what you’re doing, even the simplest things, making the most of every experience, making all of your moments count for something. As always, keep on singing that song!! And just like that, this post is done. Thank you for stopping by and saying hello, leaving your words behind... and just so you know, although much sun and shine were used up today, I can guarantee that there is still a little left in my heart. Have a fabulous day! Hive on! That never gets old!

I am not foolish enough to believe this is one of the simple things in life, but, I still strive hard to notice the small things, the simple moments in life. Thank you if you have read this far. As always, a flower, to color your world. #alwaysaflower.

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The swimming pool looks good; hope the water is nice and warm.

The sea was calling! It is warm as I have been gone since Friday night and am sitting in the sunshine now. The water is warm and I expect it to be nice for the upcoming week.

A change in atmosphere was needed. Thank you for stopping by @kaminchan !

Growing up we understand that nobody can be like our siblings)) they are the only whom we can rely on)) Have a great week 💞 we are 5 girls in our family and I love them so much 🥰

There will never be anyone like your family, that is true. While we can have people close to us that we rely on, it is usually our siblings we call upon.

Five girls! How nice. There are only three girls in my family, but six boys. :)

Always keep you winning, girl:) I'm not much of a gamble either; it makes me feel anxious and so I get no enjoyment out of it. So other than a friendly game for quarters or something, I give it a pass.

The ship looks beautiful; have a great time:):):)

I do!! That is my big gamble on the trip! :) I get no enjoyment out of it either, although I did buy a lottery ticket for the big Powerball. I did my part in making the jackpot grow. Two dollars I'll never get back.

I am with you. Hard pass.

The ship is gorgeous. Thank you! :))

My college buddies and I, in Windsor, used to go to the Casino Windsor every now and then. We'd take a roll of quarters and try our luck. When we were lucky we'd end up winning enough quarters to waste the rest of the day away in the arcade playing video games.

As time passes, we get busier and have lesser time to spend with our siblings. If they are in different states, it becomes even more difficult to have get together. Meeting and spending time with them is certainly a joyful event.

The dinning setting, as shown in the picture, is splendid. The combination of red and white is magnificent.

They are in different States, another reason we make a point of getting together. It is always the best time when we do.

There are different dining rooms in different styles, and they are all so very elegant. Thank you for stopping by!

It is always the best time when we do.

My maternal uncles and aunts are in different cities. We meet after a long time. With time, the duration is increasing. Whenever we meet, it is such a fabulous time and I just want the time to stop so that we could be together longer

0
0
0.000
avatar

Because they are probably older than you, they may have more responsibilities or jobs, or children. I found I wanted to be together longer when I first moved away, but, everyone else had more obligations than I did. It happens, but, eventually, they got around to fewer obligations. I hope you don't let that bond break. They are so hard to get back once the division is made.

0

0.000
avatar

I think all of us have our own obligations. I have my own home to deal, they have theirs to take care of. None of us can stay together longer, but desires are desires. They go beyond reality.

You are right in saying that we shouldn't let the bond break. Even if we meet less often, it should always be love

My siblings and I have come to realize that at some point in our life, we just have to make more time. We do it as often as we can.

We used to have fly-by meetings. :)

Never forget the joy in what you’re doing, even the simplest things, making the most of every experience, making all of your moments count for something.

Your sentence above is a phrase that I have heard before, but I can't remember when or who said it. However, you say it in a better sentence. This is wise advice that not everyone can follow and pass the time like we do. Always be grateful.

Many simple things or even big things lose their meaning. That's all because it doesn't present our hearts in every process we go through.

Have fun, and everything will be memorable, including your posts.

It is true, same words, different ways of presenting it. The little thing in life are some of the most special, a baby's laughter, a knowing look, reading a good book, the sun shining brightly after the rain - and even more subtle things.

All of those make for a special day, all by themselves.

These things sometimes lose their meaning when not noticed. That is true. It is the samll things in life that are my favorite. 💙

i took the boot once from Hollland to the UK in 2003 i think with wife and daughter, you could always here the ships engine , not a place for me to sleep and relax. But i hop you enjoy your trip .

The ones from Holland to the UK are small and yes! You can hear the engines. This a much bigger and the noise is insulated. I would say that most don't even realize they are floating.

Thank you. I am sorry you had a bad experience. I would probably never get back on if I had to put up with that. That is far from relaxing. :(

Who doesn't love cruising! waking up every morning at a new and exciting place, meeting strangers that become friends, at the diner table.

I do throw in the free coin they give me (or this time it was five) and I always keep my winnings.I know, what a cheapskate, right?

Quite the contrary, gambling is a curse on society, but I will not go on, it would spoil your heart warming tale of life on the ocean wave.

0

They give you free coins and I play those, although sometimes I forget. It is a one-time gift per cruise. So I go in, usually close to the end because otherwise, I forget.

I have no good tales about gambling. You can see some people when they first get on and their eyes become glazed over walking through the casino. You won't be hearing any casino stories from me. I just like taking pictures of the lights when it is shut down. :)

Haha. You don't like waking up every morning someplace new? I met some very interesting people yesterday. :)

Wow, looks like an awesome time. It almost looks a little too fancy for me. I am more of a dive bar kind of guy. The steak looked pretty amazing though! I'd probably spend all my time playing craps. Especially if I don't get taxed on my winnings! I hope you have a blast!

Fancy to dive bar, they have it all. The bars were loaded with the Superbowl crowd yesterday, There is a jumbotron on the pool deck, and that is where the big party was.

I would say they throw a decent party! :)

The food is always amazing and there are a lot of people that spend the night exactly like that. Shooting craps? I would never have suspected. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Very cool! I've never been on a cruise ship, so all of the amenities are a surprise to me. It definitely sounds like boredom is not in the vocabulary on one of those things!

That is nothing. I really need to do a post on all of the amenities! It will blow you away.

I cannot possibly see how anyone could be bored. From cooking demos and classes to belly dancing classes. (at 4 today!) There was a huge party last night at the pool, for all things football. Bumper cars, waterslides, amazing restaurants, casino, ice rink, gyms, extra awesome spas hairdressers, nail place, barber, I can go on and on!

It has got to be in your itinerary some day.

It can be! I have to admit, some of the wow has been taken down a notch as they play catch up financially. It doesn't take away from the it factor, just I noted a few minor things.

I wanted to bring my laptop but bought a small tablet. It was not as easy to work with.
Strange to see the pool so crowded and the casino not crowded.
I guess it's not pass the 7 miles to international waters yet.

Bingo!! It was when I first got on the ship for the casino shots. The only time you can photograph in there is when it is closed. They will take your camera/phone away if you try to photograph while open.

I brought my laptop because I needed to get a little work done and #MarketFriday. I hate working on my phone. I won't spend the time I do when I am home, but, I can catch up a bit.

Here I sit in a sweltering heatwave waiting for my friends in the North to cool my mind with photos of snow, you escaping the snow sailing to warmer region?

Best times are had with siblings getting together, enjoy your time away, going slow gives plenty of time to enjoy life to capacity!

Hehe! I know what you mean, but, this was a last minute when most could get together and go! We all made fast arrangements and it happened.

Nobody has ships that go to the cold regions in the winter, the harbors are ice. :) Or could be.

The reason I do like sailing is that it is all about slowing down and enjoying life. I agree wholeheartedly with you there! ❤️

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words!

Hi Denise! I don't even remember if I have given you a Happy New Year, but in case I didn't ;) Happy New Year! My best wishes to you and your family.

Enjoy the cruise with your siblings. I have never been on one, I remember as a child we went on a cruise ship to visit but it was docked in port, I don't quite remember the circumstances. But I never felt tempted to go on a cruise. I think it is not my style of travel, but who knows maybe someday.
Have a blast, xoxo 🌸

I didn't think it was mine either and I had a wedding to attend on a cruise ship, which we all went to and did a three-day sailing.

We had so much fun and I had most of my family there, so we all could be together and enjoy ourselves and walk back to our rooms and meet up again at different places over the next few days.

Since then, we try to use it as a meet-up place for those that live far away maybe once a year, and the rest at our houses. My family has nine children and this fits perfectly. Although, we do meet up and go camping, skiing, or just visiting. It sounds like I only go cruising, but the truth is, I haven't been in three and a half years. :)

Thank you! Having fun now! :)

Hi, Paulette! I am!! I have to admit that we were experiencing some of the coldest weather two days before we left, so I am grateful to be sailing straight into the sunshine!

There are three this time and there will be five next month, I will be hopping from one to the other as they are with different cruise lines, but, I tend to be flexible. It has got to be the stretching I do every morning. :)

The cruise will go to the Eastern Caribbean (five islands) and its private island. It paired up well with six sailing days. The next cruise will be the Caribbean again, but, Southern and Mexico, with a few more sailing days. I will be ready for home when I get there. :) Maybe... Everyone wanted the Caribbean as they were feeling chilled. :)

Thank you! I am having a good time! I take a few minutes when I can get it to keep up with Hive. I don't like to be underprivileged!

Thank you and I hope all is going well with you! Can I take one of these guys home with me so I can eat well? Lunch.

Looks like Fun in the Sun. Having a bit this week myself, was 8 (F) degrees this morning in Vermont with 4 inches of snow still down, then 70 degrees here in Tampa, FL. Here for a work trip, Quite the difference. Was really nice to take a long walk on the riverfront walk. Quite the hoopla down here with pre-football game madness, which I'm not into at all. Hopefully the folks from that will be gone soon.
