Going places, doing things, buying merchandise. Oh, yes! It's all about the experience, the cultures, and traveling the globe in the space of this post. I have been educated in so many ways, unfamiliar with some of your customs and cultures. There were many posts last week that touched on Eid al-Adha, the Muslim Festival. I learned it is one of the most important festivals in the Muslim calendar. Many posts were about what is done to get ready for it. All the things that go along with it, It was fascinating. I never knew how little I really knew about it, so I thank all of you who enlightened me.
This week, I went to the local nursery, but not to buy flowers! Imagine that! Many nurseries don't just sell flowers anymore. They sell everything that can be used in your outdoor life and in the last ten to fifteen years, unique things for the inside of your house, your home, and your retreat. Whatever you call it, I am sure they can dress it up. Come on in and see what they have. They are always moving things around and dressing their rooms up and down. I have to say this is one of my favorite places to visit, especially when I don't want to buy but want to do a look about. Above is my favorite statue, gracing the bow and arrow. Cupid, if you will. Watch out for that arrow! I heard he is a terrible shot!
Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!) Join me as we share our markets across the globe. I always look forward to seeing what you send me! It is amazing to see the different markets and cultures of our friends here on Hive.
Each area is set up as an individual room, but, somehow they flow into one another. They have each room decorated in a most casual way, adding genteel touches, just the way you would when you are setting a table, especially for someone special. Little touches, such as unique candles, chandeliers, and flowers, and many and mostly handmade, artistically painted, carved, whittled, or perhaps even restored. You pay for this and sometimes it is rather dearly. Is it worth it? The real question is, is it worth it to you? I have bought a few things over time, but, I rather like the idea of seeing them, committing them to memory, and seeing if I can make something almost as satisfying for myself. Wooden apples: $7.50 each. Yellow flowers: $3.75 a stem. Mirror: $138.00- so I ask you, love it or leave it here?
This had to be Cupid's friend. Another piece that turned my head. Isn't it pretty? I have no idea what it is about statues that I love, but, I really do. Do you like statues or have you just never thought about it? I have a statue in my garden that is about three feet tall and it is holding a bowl that collects water when it rains. There is something about it that just makes me smile. Vines have grown up its leg and wrapped themselves around it. It was a piece I bought at a weak moment. But, I have never been sorry. Not one bit. There is a wreath hanging on this mirror that is framed up, looking like it had a roof on it. Nicely done. Is it over the top? Nooooo! It can be painted up or down, but this one looks like a casual piece, and nicely done I Might add! How much will that beauty set you back? $138.00 just for you!
I have seen this artist before in this shop. She paints in this style (or that is what I have seen of hers. It reminds me of a favorite piece of art that was gifted to me by a talented artist. I see it every day as I walk through the room. Sometimes if I have no business down there, I make excuses to visit it. I call it a lollipop tree, but, of course, it is not. Lollipops don't grow on trees! Anyway, it is one of the happiest pieces of art you have ever seen!
You don't have to pay attention here! It is where all the men come to read, rest and play! Around Christmastime, there are more couches and all of the men come to be fussed at. Do you know of a place that caters to their clients? They used to make snacks and sometimes make cookies. That all went away with Covid. I could live here among their tastefully decorated rooms.
Is it any surprise that they had flowers there? How appropriate it was, and they took me by surprise, for they were not real, but, made of fabric. Is it hard to tell they are not real? I had to look twice and them once again, but, it is true, there is nothing real about them.
Sometimes I don't understand what they are trying to do, but, I will make a wild guess and say that it needs to be for the outside, most likely laid-back kind of furniture. She is a pretty chill person. Nothing moves her emotionally. I really like the casual vibe felt when they put this room together.
How could I come to this nursery and only look at rooms of pretties? I make my way out to the garden center outside and see these tiny little beauties, just waiting to be admired! Aren't they beautiful? And while we are at it, these are perennials so, they will come back next year. There is a premium added to flowers that will give more than once. The flowers here doubled in price this year, rendering them almost unaffordable. Did your plants go up this year? Seems like everything made the big hike up.
This store is the same one I have brought to you a few times, then a few times more. They actually have three stores in the Washington, DC area and I seem to always choose the one that is closest to me. Not because it is the closest, but, because they have the most variety, always! The people they employ there are very knowledgable and have taught me much useful information regarding my gardens and what's eating it, two of the employees give me advice on photography and one girl gives me tips on life. She used to be a life coach! So, it is really a one-stop-shop of sorts. I am not about to complain. Oh, yes. The whole Cupid. Throw him in my cart. I need him. Maybe next time. Cupid's Revenge? Clickbait. How else would I get you in here?
Please leave the link to your post here so it can easily be found by others. It helps you and me to have them in one place. Where else can you take such a quick trip around the globe? Thank you so much for joining us!! ❤
And just like that, my shopping is done. Until next time! I hope you had fun and maybe next time, we will get a few more plants to fill in the spaces. I hope you had a good time and learned a little something new. As always, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit, and just remember, #MarketFriday loves you! Thank you for supporting the challenge! Have a most fabulous day! Cheers!!
As always, there must be flowers to color my world. #alwaysaflower

In my country, a nursery usually refers to [1] a place where young plants and trees are grown for sale or for planting elsewhere or [2] a place or natural habitat that breeds or supports animals. Now I know it meant something else in another part of the world. Interesting!
Here's my entry for this week's #MarketFriday https://peakd.com/hive-196308/@patsitivity/a-workmates-birthday-bash-in-guangzhou-china#@dswigle/re-patsitivity-rf1p8v
It is a place where young plants are. I probably didn't explain it well. Over here, they have expanded from just a nursery to carrying all sorts of artisan/handmade items inside and plants outside. So, yes! You are right!
It helped grow their businesses. Thank you for stopping by and dropping your link!!

Thank you, but I (and probably most people) would pass. I know people, who live (survive) with this amount as a monthly income. My income is nowadays somewhat better, but I was in worse shoes in the past. Deep poverty is a horrible thing. So I would rather admire that wreath (and many other beauties) from the distance.
That's exactly what I did. If you read the entire post you could see that I didn't buy anything but just looked I understand that most everything is over the top expensive This is not to show how expensive things can be but just taking a look at what's out there. It was being sarcastic saying how much it was as if it cost to nothing . I am sorry if you did not understand that but I thought that it was way Overpriced Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your Words.
#MarketFriday loves you!
Ah, okay. Sometimes it is hard to notice the sarcasm in writing. Especially in this context from the USA. I know that this amount ($138 USD) is actually pocket money for some people in the USA.
$138.00 is never pocket money. If you think people with money think that, you are wrong. They didn't get rich that way. They watch their money more carefully than an older person on a pension.
Looks like a great market there!
Thank you! It was fun to stroll through! Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words!

Yes ma'am, you are right. I love going to places too. Traveling is part of education they say.

the nurseries overhere aren't much better sometimes they look more like a furniture store than a garden nurserie , i did manage to post a market friday today it may not be what you expected but ...
They have certainly evolved! There is hardly any nursery only stores left. I guess everyone is trying to make a buck anywhere they can, that is very Gucci, don't you know? 😁
Thanks for joining in! Can you drop your link when you have time? Thank you!

What an awesome nursery so much cool stuff there

Thank you @dswigle you are the best.

Good to walk and look at new arrivals in stores filled to the brim like this, never buy before formulating idea of what you may do with statues or additions for the garden or home.
Joy in seeing decor ideas Denise thanks for visiting to show new arrivals in town.
I do love some of the things in here, but, I love the idea more than the thought of buying them. Sometimes they give me ideas or silence the urge to see new things. I hardly ever buy, but on occasion, there will be that odd thing that I can't live without.
I say that in jest. I need nothing. Most of us don't. I'm a looker. I have done so little of that in the last few years, and I lived without buying a thing.
Who knew?
Thank you, Joan @joanstewart for stopping by!❤️

'Window' shopping is best, one realizes later in life much has to go, one day you have to downsize 😄, we all fall in the trap of buying somewhere along the line.
Love the ideas presented in artistic work, pottery and all things magical without my purse.
Ha! Yes! I love filling up my eyes when my pockets are empty!
I know exactly what you mean! Nobody needs this much stuff!
Mostly a memory attached, the rest dust collectors waiting to go, feast the eyes, enjoyment seeing and dreaming about how it would relate to you in your life. Happy Saturday!
That is exactly right, and I have memories and snapshots in my head. A few kept memories, but, the days of keeping everything are done. We have the important pass-downs already and the rest I find good homes where they are welcomed.
Starting the pass-downs as well, tedious thing that has to be done. Animal welfare have second hand shops I send much to to assist them in fund raising.
My mom began the pass downs early, which I should be thanking her all over again. She was probably 40 when she began giving her kids things so they could enjoy them while she was alive. Makes perfect sense to be able to see the enjoyment.
I love things, but, I love to see people enjoy those things. So, I get it. My grandmother did the same and so on. Gifting early is one of my joys. I will keep on passing until I too pass. It is one of the joys. I give to the second-hand shops as well. When you have finished using something, it is best to give it away while it still has life.
The only thing that I don't give away as much is my Christmas decorations, although I do to my married child. :)
You always leave me with a bit of wisdom, Joan. I want to thank you for your always wise words.
Mothers especially influence our life, what many forget is they lived through depression years, seeing value being something passed down into family.
Over the years certain items arrived, when Mom found out she had Leukemia with 6 months, she labelled everything. Year later Dad passed unexpectedly we found little bother in what belonged to whom of the 4 siblings, which we now pass to families children, a habit formed from young.
Always fun to hand down something that may bring joy or strong memories to those around us. Excess passed to people we know who would appreciate what we really don't need.
Life is strange, full circle almost reached I don't have grandchildren to consider, my brothers and sister do so often an item will go directly to them.
!LUV is life and giving.
That is true! I have yet to reach the grandchildren stage, but, it is part of the journey. I just have one that got married and many siblings have buckets of grandchildren. Handing down is fun and as you said, many go right to the younger generation, as I think should be.
I have had my share of hand-me-downs. My grandparents lived through the depression, My mom always said that her mother made her live through her own depression. :)) She felt poor her entire life, although they really weren't my grandmother was still in that mode!
Only ever got to know my one gran who left me a massive sideboard when about 14 years old, with instructions it be kept in the family only handed down to girls. Has been arranged with my brothers daughter then onto her daughter one day.
Rest I will have to go through and selectively hand down, things one should prepare for but seldom think about !LOLZ
Both my parents lived through depression, being thrifty in ever way possible, yes hand-me-downs very common feature in our home.

Do you know what is funny? I still love shopping in thrift shops and sometimes redoing pieces I find there. I love how well most of the older pieces are made, unlike the junk of today. :)
Old pieces in art or crafts do tempt one, if someone in the family would be happy to inherit later down the line, yes very tempting.
It's a fantastic market, with lots of lovely flowers, fruits, and artwork. Have a wonderful day every day.
Thank you. I hope your day is lovely too.
#MarketFriday loves you!
As soon as I saw cupid, I KNEW where you were. I can only imagine the dream time that could possibly be spent in this store. I remember it full of Christmas fun.
My eyes went immediately to the large dandelion heads hanging in the second photo. What is it about dandelions that fascinates me so much and makes me smile? WISH !!
I like that half sun head on the shelf in the seed area too. Wondering if it is rusted metal or brown paper mache.
That mirror with a wreath is awesome, well, not sure on the wreath part, but the mirror frame is like an window sill from over seas, olden day window sills at least. I see many fancy ones from a post from Russia and I always love them. They have such character. It always makes me wonder why we build our houses so plain here most of the time. I would be tempted. I wonder if it is a real salvaged window made into a mirror or if it was just built to look like that. I might be tempted, but maybe the wreath would have to go. LOL
So nice that they have a place for the men to wait. I'm sure the women AND the men are grateful for that.
Fun post !
I love when they decorate with him! I wasn't going to put him as the thumbnail, but why not? He was all (un)dressed in a different way. This store is my happy place. I Love going there and getting ideas or filling up my eyes when my pockets are empty.
I loved those dandelion heads that were hanging too. I think it is that childhood dream of closing my eyes and making a wish as I blow it all away. It is all part of the magic. The sun head is just another one of those happy little moments you come across in this store. It is metal and must be new or not let to rust yet. I like the metal ones. I am not sure the paper mache would last as long. Or perhaps I shuffle the house around so much, it is me. This is only three rooms. It has about 25 or 28, I cannot remember which. They change the setup every two or three months. They just changed this again and they will change it again in September bringing in the Autumn along with a room started with Christmas Trees! Oh, yes! Heaven!
The mirror is not meant to have the wreath, I think it was just another place to hang something. They like filling up all the spaces, I think. I just had that conversation with someone else about how plain our doors and windows are. Funny because if you have ever been to New England or many older Victorian houses, the trim they use is stunning. Cutouts, flowers, all sorts of angles. The Victorian era was all about the pretty. Plus, they had just gotten off the boat from Europe is my guess. The shore house has gingerbread trim on the rooflines as do most of the houses on the street, it once was the county seat, so there was a row of houses that still remain.
The doors and windows trim have long been fascinating. The Caribbean Islands represent many different countries and it is an excellent way to really get a quick fix on beauty. The island of Curacao is Dutch and it is like being in Holland, with all the fancy trims and the way they build. There are some places here that go all German or Dutch or French... but, it feels so Disney. (forgive me! I just like real!) The window definitely looked handcrafted but I did save one from the Shore that is an old window with 9x9 wavy glass. I used it down in my craft room, hanging on the wall. That is one of the ways they age the houses out there. Most have their original windows and the railroad came there in the 1860s bringing in the glass. I thought that was interesting. There are all types of ways they have.
Darn girl, I almost wrote you a post. 🤣 I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by and reading the post!

It's still phone hedoublehockysticks week over here, but the calls today (so far) do not rival the amount that came in Monday and Tuesday, so, not the worst. It doesn't hurt to mentally know it is Friday and the weekend is just hours away. If I can JUST make it to 5 o'clock without it killing me, I should be good to go. LOL !! (drama)
Oh, you are such a drama queen! :) I'm not sure you will make it! It is not even 1 pm! Should I call in the reinforcements? LOL
A great shopping experience you had indeed. As you say...all in one, from shopping to life coaching to tips in photography...Wow, well done...lol!

So many wonderful things to explore in specialty shops like this one. I love to visit places like this just to enjoy all the creativity. Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
You are right! I don't need anything new in my house, but, I do fill my eyes up on the beauty and fun. I love the creativity and sometimes a few new ideas. I do love their hand-pressed olive oil, and I do take them up on that.
I do love these places! They are so much fun!
#MarketFriday loves you!
Beautiful to see Denise. I love these shops… with plants for inside and outside. And lately yes, they added so much more, from accessories to furniture.
I have bought some things in the past. Furniture wise. Especially when it was one of its kind.
Sometimes I also go to these shops for inspiration. How I want to change something in the house. Most of the times I make it myself than. Go to a thrift store… fix a wooden piece up, upcycle it. And it fits as perfectly than you see in the stores like this.
The Cupid statues are gorgeous. Yes, I have statues and art… I’m a collector of art 😉 not just mine hehehe 🤭
But the statues are not that large. Would be great once we have a garden, to put a beautiful large statue in it. 🥰 we will see…
Have a wonderful Market Friday today!
My post: “Market Friday” ~ Early flight and other transport to PARIS, FRANCE 🇫🇷 1 July 2022
Takes you in the airrrrrr ✈️✈️✈️
I love statues and art and gladly collect them. I do want a life-size statue but have been waiting for a permanent home. I am not hauling a bunch of statues all over the world. Unless it was perfect. I found a perfect one from a church in Tongren in Belgium, nobody told me that it was like taking the crown jewels from the country. I had no idea where they get this stuff at the flea markets!
I find better furniture in thrift shops as it is usually all wood or unusual lines from years gone by. Inspiration, ideas, or simply fun are what those shops are good for. :) None of my furniture matches, but, it goes well together. I don't like matchy-matchy sets.
If you are in New England, the statues may need to be brought in. I have a large fountain in my garden and I never bring it in, but I am further south. I guess it depends on what it is made of.
I am sure you are going to have a lot of fun, once you get that place you are looking for. Thanks for stopping by and dropping your link!!
Oooooh, Lala!!! Paris! Thank you!
#MarketFriday loves you!
That sounds interesting… the statue in Belgium hahaha
Maybe one day Denise. I so understand you about the moving part. We will settle one day both 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Yes, me too… I don’t love everything matching. I have also random stuff, even at the dining table… not one chair is the same 😎😉 it so works.
I always go first to second hand stores first. As like you say… it is all wood there 🤩
Aha, ok thanks for the advice. I understand. Weather related. Will keep it in mind and see what they are made of.
Thank you so much ☺️ 🥰 I think I will 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
You are welcome, happy day further 🤗😁👋🏻
LOL I wish you could have seen me then. They send the customs agent to the house for us before being packed up. 😆 I wish you could have seen his face.
I really don't love anything matching. I used to have different chairs!!! Now the same chairs, but, the table is glass. The other is at the shore house. I love that I can trade furniture between houses.
Have a great Sunday, Jackie! @littlebee4
O my… @dswigle, but what is great… stories like that/ experiences make life so much more adventurous and interesting. Especially looking back at them 😉🤓
I can imagine… hehehe 🤭
Very cool 😎 yes… with more houses you can trade around. Change things when you like.
That’s just great.
We hope to hear more end of the coming week 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Yes, the waiting is hard for sure. Especially a few things changed in the meantime with the company that came first hehehe 🤭
I understand. But luckily we can travel and visit family. I’m still over the top excited to hop over… 🤩🤩🤩😎 I keep you posted 🥰

Hello dear friend @dswigle good afternoon
You are very right in what you say, and it is what I like most about this initiative, that one can learn about different customs and cultures from all over the world.
It is true, nurseries have evolved as businesses and sell much more variety that has to do with outdoor recreation. I love all the assortment of the place

Statue lover here🙋♂️
Sitting on the couch eating cookies and getting pampered, I could get used to that Denise! I hope it comes back, now that we are getting over Covid.
I also love the style of the lollipop tree artist 🍭
I can see why you go back there often and why you bring it to #marketfriday
Speaking of which today I posted about some charity shops I visited this week.
Wishing you a wonderful Friday and weekend too Denise:)
https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@tengolotodo/donating-and-charity-shopping-for
It really was the best place with the cookies and drinks. It really kept the harmony among the shoppers and those that came along for the ride. That lollipop tree is awesome, isn't it? I do love it!
I did it backward today, but I blame it on my computer which is lagging behind today. I already went to the charity shops and am just getting here to the drop-offs. That was fun and I insist you do it again! :)
Thank you again!
#MarketFriday loves you!
Yes I love the lollipop tree, it reminds me of some African art with the bold colours too!
You did it backwards AND you blamed in on the computer! Haha now that is the sort of thing that I come out with🤣
Yes I have been meaning to do a charity shop market post for a while and just bit the bullet and did it for this week, I will see if I can do once a month:)
It is fun to shop there and it is fun to write the post, so a win win!
Enjoy your weekend Denise😁
I have a fun picture of a lollipop tree! It is one of my favorite pieces. Honestly. Sometimes you just find something so perfect, you can't believe it's yours.
Wait? I cannot blame it on the computer? Perhaps you? I cannot take any more blame. :) I did Salvation Army a long time ago, but, I haven't done any in a while. I probably need to do something like that once again.
It has been a busy day! (again) Thanks, Ed! @tengolotodo But, it is all good. Busy people are happy people!
Truth that!
haha and you want to blame me 🤣🤣🤣
It is Sunday and you are a wee ⭐so I shall take the blame, I have big shoulders 😁
Yes a busy day, and I agree busy people are generally happy people.
Enjoy your Sunday Denise, I just finished having the roast chicken dinner for this week @coquicoin ;)
Winner! Winner!!
I'm roasting a chicken right now!!! No lie! You are the best, Ed!
Enjoy what is left of your Sunday!
Oh that is brilliant.
There you go Denise, great minds and all that!
Thank you :)
Hehe!! I hope you enjoyed your chicken dinner, Super Ed!! And be ready for the one this week 😂😊
It was delicious Super Eli, and I made Mrs T roast chicken sandwiches for her piece and lunch at work today;)
I just made one for me too and an Irn Bru to drink, now coffee it was quite warm outside and I went shopping so walking up murder hill with groceries🤣🤣🤣
Jaja!! Super Ed! murder hill, really? 😂
Mrs. T is a lucky lady hehe I hope you both enjoyed your roasted chicken sandwiches.
Coffee time for me ☕️🍪
Yes from the supermarket to the house is uphill to the football ground, so when with groceries I call in Murder Hill!
hehe well you know me, I love to cook, so that is what I do at 5, get up make the coffee then get lunch prepared while Mrs T gets ready and why I am often online at 5 from Mon-Thur
Enjoy your ☕☕☕
Guess what I am having ☕☕☕ too :)
Jaja. So the name fits perfectly in that case
I usually wake up very early too, although I don't like to cook so early.
Cheers to coffee ☕️
I know you are an early riser!
Well it is sandwiches so no cooking at that time
and yes cheers!
You need a wagon!
hehe my wife does have a wee guy wee call it, one of the trolley baskets on wheels, and boy can it take a lot of stuff!
Wow these are beautiful, such a lovely sight to behold, and despite the fact that you didn't get a flower from the nursery, I can see they see manage to captivate your attention with there Beautiful via your words and images.
The status are a joy to behold, I think I've seen same with such posture, but can't remember where, probably in a movie.

They are always so beautiful! I am one of those people that can be 100% satisfied with just looking. I do more looking than buying. It's free and pretty much gives me the same satisfaction. :)
I do love the statues and you may have even seen them in a post somewhere, I frequently come here although I try not to post it too much! :) Thank you for being part of the challenge!

Very interesting nursery. And Cupid is handsome too!
Hehe! Thank you @maestroali !! He is a handsome-looking guy! I think he needs to be in my garden! :)
Thanks so much for dropping your link and participating in the challenge!
#MarketFriday loves you!
I say leave it lol! But as you said, it depends on how important are those items to an individual. I would just sit in one of those couches or probably just go look on these pretty things for Hive purposes and nothing else. When the time comes I'll be having my own garden, then that would be a different story.
I have dodged cupid a lot but when I did finally allowed myself to be hit by one of his arrows, it was the happies day of my life and I am still happy :)
I think the edges of the flowers gave it away that it was not real :)
I hope this finds you well. This is my entry for this week https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@leeart/food-bazaar-at-ibaloy-heritage.
Happy weekend!
Haha! We have all dodged Cupid at one time or another. But, eventually, his arrow hits a bulls-eye.
I am more of a looker and happy with that. Even though I have several gardens, it is one of those things that should be done over time, to be enjoyed as it grows. I think the edges of the flowers had everything to do with it. Perfection like that does not belong in nature. :)
Thank you for being part of the challenge! I hope your week was filled with happiness and sunshine!

Thank you too for the !LUV :) It's mostly rain here these days but we have to make the most of what sunshine we can get :D

I love how nurseries are so much more than about plants. Not like the nurseries I remember from my childhood. My dad dreamed of running a nursery...for the plants, not the other stuff - I'd have loved that lol
I actually [got it together]
You fid!! My computer is misbehaving, so I am dragging a bit. Im getting together what I want in a new computer so I can order one this week.
I could see you running a nursery! Easily! They surecare nothing like I grew up with! Thanks so much for stopping by and your continued support!

I am envious. I'm going to have to save up to replace the dinosaur. In the meantime I'm having to clean her up more frequently and liberate her disks of crud! Enjoy your new "baby" when it arrives!
Oh, I am still working on putting together what I want in it. I hate to rush it as I tend to keep them long after they get old.
I just looked and it is old! It freezes, and gets cleaned on a regular basis, oh the crud on her is unbelievable. Every #MarketFriday post is a challenge, she hates it as it is the only time she breaks.
I have four other computers I can use, including a desktop, but, it doesn't feel the same.
Le sigh.
Good luck to you and I hope to make up my mind soon!
It's like they are human. Play up just when one has something really important to do. Mine does the same. With monotonous regularity. Very good for the stress levels 🤦🏼♀️🙃🤣
I swear to God, Fiona, every, every, every Thursday night! My hive goes down, won't upload pictures, my computer freezes... You name it.
One of my kids said, why don't you schedule it earlier in the week. Because that would be too organized!
OMG Seriously.
That child is very sensible. I admit that I do that for my PUD posts. Especially if they have to go out on a Friday and I am in the kitchen. I tell myself I should do it more often...but don't!
Lol. Truth. As you can see, I am just thinking I should post... at midnight.
eyeroll
And it's 5.51am here and I am contemplating the same. Ahead of my day...lol
You DO know that we are both bad! Very, very bad! Race you to the finish! ❤️

I appreciate your dropping the post here. Thank you.
You are welcome
This is the kind of shop where Magda loses her temper. She's similar to you in her love for all those smaller and larger pieces of decorations but, unlike you, she can't help herself and buys a few.
Interesting that I wrote about something similar.
I'm long overdue with posting, if I say I know you don't mind it sounds like I'm arrogant, so I say I hope you don't mind...
So Hot In University Square
Haha! In fact, I think it is so thoughtful of you to say that, even though you know I don't mind. :) It shows how truly polite you are.
After going through and cleaning out both grandparents' houses, I promised myself that nobody would have to do that for me. It was such a hard job that nobody should have to do. One grandmother saved all the glass jars to do her canning and preserving. She had hundreds of them in her basement. All clean and ready to go, but, this was only the start of things. She (and he) were collectors!
At least Magda only gets little things. I love looking and photographing. Perhaps you can give Magda a camera and let her make her own beautiful images. I found I love to look at them more than own them.
Thank you for dropping the link!
Grandparents are usually collectors, I mean they don't like to throw things away. I don't either.
When did you clean your grandparents' houses, @dswigle?
Magda takes pictures with her phone, it's the most convenient... but she often forgets to do it. Maybe because I take pictures all the time and she gets bored just looking at me.
Have a nice week, Denise!
I can understand that, especially if you have someone with you that is taking plenty. @bluemoon
Grandparents are perceived collectors, I think. Perhaps it comes from living in leaner times? I had two sets of grandparents of my own, and growing up two great-grandparents. (both great grandmothers) I cleaned out my grandfather's house in 2001, he passed away just two months after my grandmother. It was made easier by help, not a fun job by yourself. Most of the elder relatives have been joint efforts by the family, some lonely tasks. Always done with care as these items were well loved.
That's what I remember. The visits to my grandparents were special because I received many stories about the past exemplified by many objects they had kept. Especially in the attic. I was too young then to understand the value of these objects.
I think inventorying and sorting these objects after grandparents are gone is fraught with nostalgia and can't be hard work.
I still miss them. It's funny, I think I miss them more now then I ever thought possible.
They were kind and funny, never judging me. They were humble and they loved us unconditionally. Also, they had the best stories.
Me too, although I remember them less often.
Grandparents' love for grandchildren is special, gentler, and more understanding. With patience...
I remember too now, because of you.
I think you should go to bed now? Have a good rest and a good week! Without excessive heat.
:) I am off to bed now. I was just posting. You know, now or never. Goodnight, Dan! @bluemoon
Goodnight, Denise!
What a fantastic nursery with a little bit of everything in it! I love the statues, and wish I had my yard ready for some. Soon! I have just the place for them, unless I build a small coffee-bench from used pallets first.
Don't you just love this place?!! I really need the Cupid though. He would fit right in. OK... I could make room for him. I have a three-tiered fountain, two birdbaths, and two statues and I would happily build another garden for the Cupid.
His own space.
Go for the statue!!! Although a coffee bench does sound more usable. But, you can't ignore the arts!
Can you imagine if there were lollipop trees? I bet you all the children (well most anyway) will be surrounding it, hehehe!
https://ecency.com/hive-124452/@silversaver888/market-friday-christmas-in-july
Yes!!! And why not, right? Think of all the sweet dreams I could have if that were right outside my window. :) I haven't had a lollipop in a dog's age. I must need to buy one tomorrow. 🙂
I hope you are having a wonderful time in Hawaii!! Mahalo Nui Loa! You always support #MarketFriday! ❤️ Aloha!

I also really like to look at all these statues, fountains and small fountains that you can put in the garden. Thanks to such things, the garden acquires a unique charm. I love this store of yours! 😀 Ссылка на мой пост: https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@tali72/another-parcel-from-the-online
