Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge - Grund

The dawn was beginning. The first rays of sunlight played on Grund's scales, sitting by the arena, waiting for another fight. He had fought many times the previous day, and had never been defeated, thanks to the Melee Mayhem rule, but the new round of Share Your Battle promised even more exciting battles.

With his heavy hammers in his mighty hands, he gathered his strength and headed for his allies, who were in position for another battle...

This card is one of my favorites among the Earth elemental monsters, thanks to its dual attack ability, and when combined with Super Sneak or Melee Mayhem rules it can do wonders. But sometimes I put it in the first position with a healer like Goblin Psychic or Wood Nymph because of its high health, but this time I decided to test it with Bizntine Kitty, a speed-increasing summoner with a useful first-place healing skill.

My Lineup:

Grund

A lot of health, a powerful double attack, in addition to the ability Cripple, dropped in the rules of combat and giving additional damage to the enemy. in my opinion a very good card to attack the enemy tank and contain his attacks in the first 2-3 turns.

Oaken Behemoth

The strongest monster with a double attack, and probably one of the best cards for the second position. Once Grund leaves the battle, this card will be a very worthy replacement.

Mushroom Seer

Not the strongest mage of the Earth element, but nevertheless, I thought it was a good idea to use his ability to lower the quality of magical attacks of the enemy and thus get a small advantage in the battle.

Kron The Undying

The amount of mana allowed me to use power monsters, so I gave that position to Kron The Undying, a popular combo with Lama. Even without it, though, he's very strong and quite dangerous, with a good magical attack and the ability to heal.

Spirit Druid Grog

Since my opponent had several strong mages, I didn't think my GRUND would last long enough, so I decided to take advantage of this mage and in particular his ability to resurrect the first fallen man. It definitely gives me a bit of a head start and helps me procrastinate, allowing my mages and Behemoth to launch effective attacks.

Djinn Biljka

I recently got this legendary mage in my deck, and his ability to remain invulnerable until he hits first makes him a very useful ranged monster. Even if I get really bad, this mage will make it to the last one :)

The adversary was very strong and not only does the summoner GRANDMASTER RATHE have an impressive set of abilities, but among his cards was perfectly tuned Corsai Bosun and a dangerous mage Time Meddler, upgraded to level 4!

In the second round I came in very confident and my Grund, supported by mages, did a great job against my opponent's tank (Uriel The Purifier).

Grund dropped out of the game in the third round, but dealt tangible damage to Corsair Bosun, and all responsibility for containing his opponent passed to Oaken Behemoth.

In the fourth, my mages succeeded in destroying Corsair Bosun and the numerical and qualitative advantage was on my side.

The fifth and subsequent rounds went without surprises - I methodically destroyed my opponent's cards while he tried to destroy my Oaken Bejemoth, who was being healed by a summoner :)

Round 9 was the final round, and the victory was very satisfying. I'm sure that without Grund destroying Uriel The Purifier, my chances of winning would have been much more slim.
