Playing With Streaks and Lines
After making nearly 50 cyanotypes I kinda realized that I have to do something to make contact prints more interesting.
The first one was almost an accidental thing. I wasn't going for what I came up with but I liked how it came out.
Streaking was fun so I decided to try a checkerboardish pattern.
Not sure I like it that much. I also tried some blotting.
I like that better, but maybe it would work better with a bigger image.
Do you like these? Any ideas for other experiments?
Thanks for reading!

That first one is awesome! I think they are all cool. You could look into Faux Finish techniques for painting and see if you can apply any of those methods to this process to spice things up a little.
Hmmm I can see how some of those could work... 🤔

Your proposal is very particular and strange, which makes it unique, fascinating and striking. When I saw the cover of your post I couldn't resist opening it to see your work. My congratulations.
I love the faded quality of your typographies… for me as an observer it feels as if secret layers of a different world are revealed. But only parts and bits and the whole still is mystery.
