Because trending feeds can and are built based on other factors than votes, such as traffic levels, interaction levels, shares, comments, etc. u don’t need to built votes into trending at all

On hive trending can be controlled to be what the high stakes want with one vote or few votes inside their small circles. And with majority overall stake on their hands, it's digital plutocracy.
A big vote also takes from the smaller votes.
DV rewards goes to trending.
They DV and then UV the trending and garnish in those DV rewards.
Then they come up with wild excuses to DV for personal reasons and zero out new users donations. Of course, one could do direct hive bank transfer via hive network, as each wallet is essentially it's own bank.
You say there isn't censorship on hive. You still haven't given me something specific as to what you mean by hive. I asked if you meant the raw block data. What do you mean by hive in general but not the front ends?

How do votes appear if non can see content, since their first censored Ie no votes in the beginning?
I just spent the last 10 messages explaining to you that on hive the trending feed depends on the app. On 3Speak it’s driven by stats so downvotes don’t work, on peakd it’s a less sophisticated algo so they leave it driven by votes. It varies app to app.
Why are u saying then that the hive algo is driven by votes still when I just explained to u that it IS NOT???

One can only be specific to an app for this conversation. It is the apps that censor, not the blockchain. For example on 3Speak trending feed this type of down voting does not determine the ranking of the user on the trending feed on other platforms it does. But it’s all still on hive
It's all still on the Blockchain. On the raw data.
But hardly anyone is going around the apps to look at raw data. Majority are not going to be liking sifting through all that mess, which is why on the apps, such as peakd, censorship happens.

Censorship is in the apps, not the blockchain, since that very same content would still show up at the top of the feed of an app like 3Speak which uses a different trending algo.
Soon users will be able to customize their own trending feeds. So all of this wil go away, even at the app level. I would not also say that peakd is pro censorship, it’s just that they didn’t dedicate many resources to their trending feed, yet
The apps doesn't have to be pro censorship, but if you offer the gun to everyone, not everyone will treat it with the responsibility it deserves. DVs should be used for abuse only. Yet we see this wild idea that if shit posts don't get DV then the price will crash. So they do it "for the greater good". Which is baseless argument because they have nothing to prove that it makes the tokens value grow. It's just fake reasons to be a digital tyrant so they can reap rewards, at the cost of new users and current ones feeling like they have to walk on eggs shells, be a certain way here, post a certain style, follow the corporate narrative so to say.

You have been dodging I been trying to guess correctly to what you referring to, because where specifics matter, I was reading generalized content mixed with specifics. You say "hive in general" but then switch it to talking about apps. Etc
