[Dragon] Share your Battle challenge (1)

First attempt at the Dragon share your battle challenge, In this edition the card I have chosen to write about is the new legendary card from rift watchers Agor Longtail, which is I think the highest mana card I currently own and its pretty decent sadly i did not get it level 3, need to get around to it one day.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • One of the few double attackers, can be used a certain ruleset to gain an edge
  • Taunt is pretty good but fury exist now thou
  • Flying to avoid hits

Cons:

  • Super high cost of 15
  • No self heal till level 3
  • Quite slow

Battle rules

There is quite a bit of mana to use but the ruleset does limit the units to those that have odd mana so I am going to roll with the dragon faction to gain more options to choose from. The extra 2 points of armor from the ruleset does make magic damage units more appealing to use since they can bypass those armor values.

Double strike, Shield, Sub tank, ReachCarnage Titan with its double strike it will be able to do quite a lot of damage to the opponent's units and it has shield which is good as its going to be the subtank on the team
Sneak, FlyingPelacor Bandit in case they have a strong backline
Magic damage,Armor giver, DispelVenari Wavesmith just for that extra 2 points of armor and since the main tank has taunt and void armor it can be used to block magic attacks as well and dispel helps in removing that 2 extra armor from the ruleset
Heal, RepairMerdaali Guardian heals and repair the armor of the main tank to extend its life
Magic damage, Life Leech, flyingRunemancer Kye with life leach it will be the final boss and with magic it will bypass armor values

Now on to the Battle

Round 1

They went with a water team and luckily for me they played mostly range damage units which straight up got hit by my summoner's ability reducing their damage by one which helped immensely since their damage is lowered it takes a lot more effort to hurt my taunt tank as it is being healed and gaining back its armor each turn.

Those magic damages in my team paid off as they bypassed the armor values hitting that sweet hp directly allowing for my carnage titan to clean up and finished off their tank and since my team is being protected by the Agor Longtail only its armor is being reduced and it is still going quite strong

The round ends with one unit being lost on the opponent's team while my team only lost armor

Round 2 & 3

Agor Longtail being a flying unit allowed it to dodge attacks which is great since their team is filled with non-flying units and its magic and melee attack is quite powerful allowing for the easy clean up on the opponent's team.

This rounds further my advantage since my team is hitting them with barrages of magic damage and taking out all their units and forcing their range units to the front disabling them from attacking.

The round ends with the opponent losing almost all their units while my team still did not lose any units and my health at this point is still full due to being healed.

Round 4 to The Last Round

The round ended super fast since the remaining 2 units on the opponent's team are both range units and under the onslaught of the magic team they were quickly removed ending the match in my favor.

Strategy Talk

The strategy was revolves around using a taunt tank with a healer and in this case the taunt tank was quite powerful having duo attack types of melee and magic plus it had void armor which increases it survivability by forcing the magic to hit the armor first plus with a repair unit it can block those high damage attacks with the armor value unless they have piercing.

Agor Longtail is a powerful taunt tank, the new fury ability would harm it thou but in any case its still a powerful card to use with its duo attack types and good amount of abilities at level 1.

Armored Upprotects it and since its a magic attacker its great
Up Close and personalCan be used as its a melee unit plus u get its magic damage as well which is great
