Made a Crochet Pouch For My Niece

It has been months since I made something for my niece and she's been having her eye on some of my purses so I thought school will be in session too. Why not make her something that'll be useful in school too.

Decided to make her this little pouch for her short pencils, crayons and erasers and sharpeners. Just a cute purse for my little baby.

She's 4 by the way. Anyways I got to work and I had to find a good design that'll be useful to her. Complicated bags would not don't trick because she'll get exhausted while trying to open it up so when I saw this design inspo and my Pinterest I was like yeah that's the one

It's for a kid so making something plain or just dark colors would be dull and they'll be nothing to it. Ao I decided to use what I had.

Good thing I also had white yarn at home. Had to determine how to blend all the colors out. I honestly didn't want all the squares looking identical. If I had enough yarn at home they would have all been different but I had to work with what I had so here we are.

I had a lot of random thoughts while working on this purse most of them not even related to the project. Does that happen to other people?

Like when I was using the pink I was like “this will look good as a beanie for her too” or things like “oh this pattern will look good in a skirt “ does that happen to you all? At this point I'm just curious.

Back to this I finished the four squares. I even forgot to take pictures of some parts which were so funny when I realized. I finished with the squares and got to joining the squares.

This wasn't straight joining so I had to refer to the inspo picture a lot of times because I dread frigging projects so I rather double check, triple check and quadruple check lol if that's a thing but yeah anything to not frog any part of the project.

I finished joining up all the and all I was left with was securing the ends of the yarns and then cutting it off. Well when I finished with this I was looking like a colorful yarn tree since it was all on my lap. I flipped it over and absorbed the beauty from what I just made.

Then I went on to make two ropes she can easily tie to seal the pouch and untie to remove her tools and viola. All done

I hope you love this cute pouch because I know I do.

Things I used to make this cute multi colored granny square pouch :
4.0 mm hook
Stitch markers
3 40g yarns [ one rose pinks, one white and one black]
Scissors
Measurement tape

Ps: these pictures belong to me and we’re taken with my mobile device.

That’s a pretty pouch and it’s also really cute as well. I love the colours you used as well. As this point I think it’s time to register to become your niece to enjoy such benefits

The pouch is beautiful, I like the final joining giving it a unique look.

I think I do have similar experiences as yours while working I tend to assume how one thing can be useful for this or that.
Thanks for sharing.
