Crochet Jumper Shrug
#needlework
Hello my fellow needle workers, I’ll start apologizing now because this was an urgent job so I couldn’t take enough pictures. Literally delivered it in 24hrs more like immediately I dropped the hook she came to pick it up so please bear with me.
So a first time client reached out to me on one of my platforms and asked that I duplicate the lumi shrug(not entirely thought she only wanted me to give her almost same sleeves I did for that one) we got to pricing and taking her order she gave me the color and also sent her also sent her precise body measurement for the shrug since she wanted a tight one.
I started making the base and honestly I had a lot of challenges that day and it was pretty rough for me. I got home that evening and the power was out. I had to find a place to charge my devices so I can use it as a torch to work with at night. Some of the pictures are colored because I wasn’t in a well lit area.
I already started making up to four rows of the base at the shop so when I got to where I was charging I just continued making the base from there and trust me I was speeding up like my life was on the line (I’m not one to take urgent jobs but she really needed to get it before she traveled and since it was her first time I sort of wanted to just make it for her).
While I was making the base the ball of yarn I carried with me got exhausted so I had to head home and get another so I could continue since I wasn’t ready to go home yet and I didn’t want to be idle either. When I got back I had more strength to work since my hands rested when I made my way home and back to the spot. I finished the base there just in time for me to head home.
When I got home I started making the first sleeve of the shrug. Had to set up the lamp in a way that it wouldn't hurt my eyes while I was working (and yes the power didn’t return even after hours, literally returned the evening of the next day). I made one line of mesh dc stitches and one line of dc stitches. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it’ll be but it wasn’t so easy either, at some point I took walks and drank loads of cold water so I could keep my eyes open (sounds bad but it wasn’t, to an extent it was fun because it’s been months since I stayed up that late to make an outfit.I used to work mostly at night when I started out because it was more peaceful and I’m more productive by that time)
I did most of the work on the sleeve when I took a break for a few minutes then I got back to it.
I finished the sleeve before going to the shop the next day and my assistant finished the second. Like I said earlier the client came to pick it up few minutes after we finished the full fit
This is a list of the things I used while making this hat:
*measurement tape.
*4.5mm hook.
*stitch markers.
*Darning needles.
*6 balls of 40g acrylic yarn
*scissors
Ps: the pictures used here belong to me and were taken with my mobile phone.

You have a beautiful result. I love that it is short because it gives it a modern and youthful look. It's a great job.
Thank you. I’m glad you love it.

This is so beautiful and neat despite you have to do it urgently. Crocheting is really a lot of work. Well done.
