Electronic Art Nouveau : a new painting in my Alternate universe
Miranda new she'd not miss a thing at the new exhibit in Paris with her darling new hat, equipped with many angled cameras.
In My continual sketching and dreaming of the alternate universe wherein tech developed earlier than our own, possibly into the 19th century, today we have a lovely lady of the Belle Epoch.
Miranda knew she'd be the height of fashion at the exhibit, welcoming in the new century in 1900 style.
As we may recall, in my 'alternate universe' we've had both the Victorian girl and the 1930's fashion plate.
So a lady of the Belle Epoch seemed a fun next step. The entangled electronic headress of our lovely 1900 lady is fitting with the Art Nouveau styling. She might even pose for a Klimt or blend into the "modern" architecture of Paris or Brussels.
I sketched her first in pencil and then scanned here, and outlined in rough charcoal on rough digital paper.
Next I added layers of watercolor.
It's much more fun to see the layers in GIF form, don't you think?
I'm rather chuffed with this fun series. I'm temporarily calling the series "Alternate Tech Universe" tho I'm sure there is a better name. It's such fun imagining a parallel space of history running alongside ours.
