A Victorian Bunny sketch for Easter
Penelope Bunny corseted and ready for a brisk walk.
I've been very busy this past week working on my cottage, but I'm still making time to draw. I couldn't help but think of rabbits, as Easter grows nearer.
The sketch ready for some color
As always I love a gif of the layers.
As with many of my drawings, I'll make something new, like a bunny portrait, then I'll start sketching out more, so I'm sure there'll be a series of animal portraits in this style.
As Easter grows nearer and we are now into Spring bunnies, rabbits, are on the mind, especially as they'll start coming out and trying to get into my garden, the little darlings.
I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your passions and if you celebrate Easter, are looking forward to it.

Very nice illustration. The rabbit dressed like that is a little funny hehe.
thank you so much, happy you like him.
I love it is beautiful I really like the art style you used for this drawing, the rabbit with the costume reminds me of the rabbit that was in Alice wonderland .
Cheers!!!
that's a wonderful compliment and yes I've very influenced by the 19th c. and grew up with Beatrix potter so she highly influenced my watercolors growing up.
I really like the finish, it looks like it was painted with watercolors on a shirt.
I know it's digital, but the process looks handmade.
Greetings.
Thank you, I am originally trained traditionally so I use my digital tools basically as I do the real stuff and my first sketch is usally on paper then transferred to computer, so I try to keep a bit of that 'by the hand' feel, thanks for noticing :) And I do PUT them on shirts to sell haha.
Thanks to Kindergym I got the Little Peter Rabbit song stuck in my head and now all I could think when I saw this was it's a grown up Peter Rabbit. I don't know, it has some Beatrix Potter vibes, very cute XD
