Beautiful images of the Great Solidarity Ceremony of the Xo Dang ethnic minority people
Hi Hivers in the Abundance Tribe community, this is my first time posting in this community. And in this post, I would like to introduce the great solidarity ceremony of the Xo Dang ethnic minority. As you may know, Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups stretching from North to South. The National Assembly has chosen November 18 every year as the day of great solidarity of all ethnic groups in the territory of Vietnam. And today I was fortunate to be invited to attend this great event of the Xo Dang ethnic minority in Vi R'Ngheo village, Dak Tang commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province.
As you may know, I introduced this beautiful village in a previous post of mine. I have visited that village a few times, and it seems that the locals there love me very much, so their leader invited me to attend their solidarity day. I really appreciate that and I got there very early despite the long and rough road.
Let me talk a little bit about this great solidarity. The main purpose of this festival is to bring people together in the village, promote neighborliness, review what has been done in the past year, make plans for the coming year and join hands together to develop the village in all aspects. Vi R'Ngheo village has a total of 62 households and 216 people. Everyone looked so excited, dressed beautifully and gathered at the communal house from early morning. They had a very meaningful day together.
The men of the village came together to slaughter a big pig and prepare the dishes. They gather together and each has a mission. Some people slaughter pigs, some people light a fire, some people cook, some people use bamboo to make skewers, some people prepare bamboo tubes to cook rice and meat, while others do errands to help others. Some women were also there to help the men. Everyone is eager to work. They laugh and talk during the labor. The working atmosphere there was really fun.
While the men were preparing the food, the women gathered at the volleyball court in front of the common house to compete with each other. I heard they only practiced volleyball for about a month. Although their skills and techniques were limited, they brought out a really fun atmosphere. Everyone in the village from old people to children gathered at the communal house to cheer for them. And the image that moves me the most is probably the image of fathers holding their children and standing outside the volleyball court to support their wives playing. They are really just young parents aged 18-24.
When the volleyball game ended, the men also finished preparing the food. Regardless of the outcome of the match, everyone had a great time. After that, everyone brought and served food together in the communal house to have lunch together. To prepare lunch for the whole village, they cooked a lot of food. In addition to the food cooked together, another thing that impressed me is that each family brings cups, bowls, chopsticks, spoons, eating utensils and rice to the communal house to share with others. Although there were 216 people sharing lunch in the communal house, there was no disturbance. Everyone was very polite, lined up for food and arranged the food neatly and cleanly on the floor. Everyone had a very enjoyable and cozy lunch together. And I must. I have to admit that I enjoyed the food there, they were rustic but delicious. After the lunch, everyone voluntarily cleaned up and cleaned the communal house and returned to their houses to prepare for the afternoon activities.
In the afternoon people return to the communal house for other activities. They were beautifully dressed in traditional costumes for cultural performances. I was very impressed with the gong performance of the muscular men in the village and the dance performance of the beautiful girls. Through these musical performances, I understand that the people there have a hard but peaceful and happy life, and they also show their hospitality.
After the excellent musical performances, they together looked back on the past year and set goals for the next year. As a remote village, the people here have a difficult life, so their goal is to develop the economy together to get out of poverty. Those who have achieved good results in the past year have been commended and rewarded by the whole village with meaningful gifts. The government also has gifts to encourage the solidarity of the village. And I really loved the final statement of the village's leader. He had a really inspirational talk. I understood why the villagers are very good sense of community, development, environment and nature protection. Because they have a good leader.
After the meeting, people joined hands to clean up the communal house and have some sport activities such as football and volleyball. You know what normally, after every community meeting, people gather together to drink beer or wine. But that doesn't happen in this small village. That's another thing I really like it. People here have a very healthy and happy life. I was very surprised because I I didn't believe that happens in a remote village like this. After sport activities, people shared the rest food and brought it home to have meal with their own family.
WOW!!! I don't what to say about the great solidarity event which I was fortunate to take part in today. I learned and saw so many beautiful things today that I just want to share with you. I hope you like it too. Thank you very much for taking time to read my post. Wish you a nice and great day. Cheers!

Actually visiting these villages reveals their true way of life and food. A few days ago I had such an experience while visiting tribal villages.

Hi @franzpaulie
Thank you very much for your visit and lovely words.
I was so lucky to be their guest, I learned a lot from them.
People tend to be observant and selective when it comes to character and trust, you have their favor; keep up the good work.💪💪💪
Hi @franzpaulie
It's quite hard to earn their trust and I feel so happy that they trust me. Wish you a nice day!
Some people might say that they are poor because they don't live like others today...
but the truth is that I see them very happy and that they lack nothing!
Hi @malos10
That's true, I think we are the person who decide what we lack of. The local people have a happy life over there.
That is so great when I know about the ethnic here. I want to come here once time.

Hey there @dodovietnam is this your website?
http://mangdendiscovery.vn/
Hi @livinguktaiwan,
Yes, that's my website. Is there any problems? Please let me know.
It looks like a travel agent site. Is there any verification that it is owned by you please? You are well aware of how much sourcing matters on Hive and the consequences of improper use. As a community leader and onboarder it is essential that you lead by example and ensure that any external source your use links back to you properly. Thanks
I don't know how I can prove the website is owned by me. Below is a screen shot after I logged in and worked on that website and the verification email from the domain name registrar. And yes, it's a travel website. Is it okay if I put the link of my post on Hive on my website's article? Or else, just let me know what I can do, thanks a lot @livinguktaiwan.

The best thing to do is to add your Hive ID to the websites owned by your, you should know that by now!!! I notice your latest post has another different watermark, you're best to get your photo source sorted out as soon as possible. We can't have one rule for newbies/abusers, and another for people who's been around for a long time, and who should know better
Seems like delicious meal, especially the grillades !
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
