I'll probably keep posting here on inleo, but my days of blogging via Hive are coming to an end. I always knew there was a good chance the community on Hive would begin to slow down, and we are kind of here now.

I do not, but I haven't really done any promoting of my substack, it just kind of existed, didn't even remember to post there most times, so it was always way behind my blog on Hive anyway.

I think it was the inevitable outcome. Because of the extra steps it takes to set up wallets, multiple password keys, and similar, the vast majority of people drawn to the platform were doing it for some kind of financial gain.
This isn't really conducive to building an attentive audience long term, because the moment it's not profitable for them as well they drop off.
Hive isn't what it once was, and because of that the ability to keep an audience here's gone
Isn't it a problem everywhere? average attention span lowered to naught due to rolls/tiktok/etc. ppl who stay interested seem to be rare, and it was like that 2-3 years ago. Has anything really changed? Maybe it's ambient "impeding doom" feeling that always looms but never kills?
Most users don't have the same mindset as real Hive owners. We have more like them but as you said, it's inevitable.
I can't blame them though, if something doesn't feel you happy or rewarding, why would you stay?
I think we'll see a resurgence of users, once the bull market is in full swing again.
And will they hang around, or will they immediately drop off? I've been around a number of years, and even the slower times of the Pre-Fork with Steem.
I doubt that will be anything more than a temporary boost in activity on the blogging side of Steem.
Depends on how prolonged the bull run is...
But I think a small percentage of them would stick around anyway
