In my previous blogs, I shared how I was a ghostwriter before joining Hive. In those stories, we talked about my ghostwriting experience on a blogging site when I was 12. The whole point of ghostwriting is being anonymous. This gave me a lot of freedom to talk about critical issues and social norms.

Today, I am going to share a dark story with you. Yes, life is not always a bed of roses. Most of the people's first earning stories are fun. My story is about where I was taken advantage of at the age of 8. (Just for the story I am going to name him "Faraz", His real name is different).

It was our summer vocations in 2008. On one of the last days, before our vocations starts, My class fellow Faraz came to me and told me about his hand injury. I felt bad about his condition. Faraz told me that He needs someone to do his summer vocations and since I am not going anywhere this summer He thinks I can help him.

He gave me an offer that I can't refuse. Faraz exploited my love for Pokémon cards. He showed me a rare collection of Pokémon cards which he wanted to sell for 50 Pakistani Rupees (Currently 0.25$). How can I say no to the Gold Foil Charizard?

The only thing which was between me and my Pokémon cards was only 50 pages of math's summer vocations homework, some other minor essay Writing and more. A ghostwriter is someone who writes anonymously and promises to never take credit for the work he does. In this case, I can't let the teacher know about the reality(till today teacher is unaware of who wrote).

After 2 months of vocations (June and July), it was time for #back2school. Faraz was in touch with me making sure that I will complete his work too and I did. There was no 0.25$ involved, I directly asked for the Pokémon cards collection which we arranged on. I can finally keep that Gold Foil Charizard.

Here comes an entry of a new character PREFECT (a student who is responsible for discipline among students). Faraz gave me cards before 15 mins of school time and I bought them to school while keeping them in the bag and decided to not share them with anyone. Only Faraz and I were aware that I have a rare Pokémon card collected in my bag (10 cards accurately).

It was a time for a lunch break. We all went to the ground and finished our food. After 15 mins of a break when I came back what I saw was PREFECT holding my Pokémon cards in front of the teacher. My teacher, PREFECT and Faraz were having a conversation while I sat down on my chair. The teacher told PREFECT to throw them in the dustbin while he secretly hides them in his pocket. I got a bit suspicious but said nothing. I also saw PREFECT and Faraz having a conversation while the teacher started teaching. Little did I know, Faraz plotted to give me nothing for my work.

I went to the dustbin for sharpening my pencil and quickly found out that cards were never thrown into the dustbin. I requested my teacher to explain to me the action she took against me or I am going to the principal's office. The teacher soon understood a little bit of the situation and found cards in PREFECT's pocket. It was crystal clear that PREFECT misused his respected authority.

I was uncertain about the future of cards so I told my teacher that I wanna rip them and throw them myself. To me, justice was served but Universe had a greater plan for me. After 4-6 months our exams started and I got 100 out of 100 marks in MATHEMATICS maybe because I did my summer vocations homework of maths 2 times?

Please let me know, what are your thoughts about my actions, Faraz, PREFECT and teacher?

Wow bro very well written story thanks for sharing it here. I did enjoy it a lot. We all do have that type of people everywhere , who just want to take advantage of the situation.
In case of mr perfect was the guy who do a unbidden identity, maybe he is afraid of reveling his true identity 😅.

I feel sorry about you bro good to know you scored 100 🥂🎉

Hehe sharp person since childhood, so you hired someone for finishing your homework. I rather left it instead of taking the assistance of others.
Perfect hmm classes are incomplete without these guys😸 digging things for themselves. You threatened the teacher at that age. 🙀 Too smart 🐼

Lovely story. Well, I'm sure you did the right thing by ripping the cards off, at least there was a much bigger reward which is getting an A+ in Mathematics.

So, yes your reaction paid off.

This is amazing captain ✌️✌️...since they never had the intention of giving you the cards, it is better no one has it and your score was because you did it twice and that made you perfect at it....

And Faraz, I am not sure if he can get up to average because it done deal for him not what he did by himself....

Well-done CAPTAIN 🏆🏆🏆.. that is what this life is all about...they use your innermost desire to get you to do things for them in exchange...

This is good one❤️🏆

So, your earning turned out to be 100 marks on the maths paper but not the Pokemon card....

Are prefects made from class 2 or 3? There are only monitors from those classes.

In this story, the character of pREfect is questionable. Does anyone have a right to take anything out of anyone's bag......! The teacher did what she was supposed to do. Faraz and prefects were the cheaters

In our schools monitor was responsible for one room and perfect was responsible for all sections of same class.

Edit: nice catch amber. It was prefect not perfect. Looks like grammarly auto corrected this. Editing now.

In our school, the prefects were only from class 8 to 10. Other classes only had monitors..

Auto correct..... huuuuh. Sometimes, they are irritating. I don't trust these softwares blindly.

Hi @dlmmqb, you are one of my five daily posts on the DreemPort curation trail.

It's never nice to be taken advantage of, but it sounds like you had the last laugh with your 100% marks in math! "Faraz" was a bit of a hustler and had everyone dancing around for his rare Pokemon cards. I bet it hurt when you ripped them up.

@juliamulcahy

Thank you for reading my story. It encourages me to write more. I will be writing about my 3-year-old betrayal experience next. I hope you will visit me continuously. My family told me this story so I remember it. :)

I like to write creative writing. English is not my first language thus it's difficult for me to write but I am improving slowly. !LUV

In the process of doing his job, you were getting yourself proficient in mathematics which later paid off. You may have been treated badly and cheated but you reason for joy at last, which was better than what you lost
