$HBD Savings goal - Montana
I have read some posts recently that made me think about my $HBD goal. I want to hit 5k this year. I currently see it as a great saving vehicle for me even if the return drops below the 20% in the future. I do not think that it will drop too fast but no matter what happens I am still a fan of it right now.
I do want to put in a reward for when I hit the 5k. I want to hit 5k in $HBD and then plan a trip to Montana with my family. It has become a special place for us and my kids love visiting it.
This year as we planned out a trip or 2 I think we backed away from Montana due to the cost. So I am going to tell my wife that as soon I hit the 5k in $HBD we plan our Montana trip. It might not be in 2024 but I am going to push to make it happen. If it’s 2025 Montana will still be there.
Why Montana? Well take a look and I think you will see.
Most of these are within or very close to Glacier National Park. It’s such a cool part that is really growing in popularity. I don’t love that because I want it all to myself but still an amazing place. If you ever get a chance make sure you take the opportunity to go see it.

Reaching 5k in HBD is a very good goal. I’m sure you will achieve it and I wish you goodluck on your goal

Quite the lofty goal you've set there but I'm convinced it's totally achievable. Good luck on achieving it. Well, I would say Montana is quite beautiful from the pictures you've shared of it.
